Title: 30AC "Betrayal on Bespin" Battle Pack

I find myself oddly excited by this particualr BP. I really don't know why either, there isn't really a whole lot there that is new, and I have most of the figures there. BUT for some reason I'm actually going to be picking that one up. I don't have a Bespin Gown Leia loose, so I'll take that one. Fett is just meh. I think it is kind of cool they included an open hand for Vader there. Han actually looks to be a rehash, it almost looks as if he has ball jointed elbows and shoulders. The Chewie however is what really makes me want this set. I don't have a loose VOTC Chewie, so this is a good chance to get one. Technically the one in this set should be the EB version, but I already have 3 of those so I'm fine with the ROTJ styled hair. The little bar glasses are a nice little extra there. Hasbro should be including little diorama type extras in all the battlepacks to add to the value of sets. What are everyone else's thoughts on this set?

Post by: ruiner on July 26, 2007, 08:09 AM: I hate to admit it too, but this set is neat simply because the movie scene is represents is just cool. I'd pick this set up to leave boxed. I know that sounds crazy but they did a nice job with this one. Cardboard table and all.

I am going to pass on the set, but it is a nice one.

BUt I don't think this one does it justice... I would be passing unless it's on clearance.

Post by: Dan on July 26, 2007, 09:46 AM: I like the set, but since I have so many of the figures, probably won't be purchasing it. I agree completely with Ryan, these things should have more props and usable backgrounds so they can almost qualify as playsets. They spend so much on them already, making them useful once the package is open is just a tiny extra step that would go a long way toward making me plunck down the money.

Post by: David on July 26, 2007, 09:47 AM: Hmm...okay, this is neat! I too do not have a loose VOTC Chewie, so thats exciting in itself, the open hand for Vader, the glasses, and the possibly rehashed Han...okay, I'll get one. It also looks pretty neat in the box, too, actually... :)

This is the boat I'm in too. I'll wait for clearance on this just to get the Leia. If I miss it, I won't loose sleep.

Actually, on closer inspection, it looks like it's the 300th Fett (which I never got, so plus for me). I thought it was a repaint of the TSC Boba Fett at first.

It's a bonafide 100% pass for me.
