Now that's a photo I like. I think that maybe having a soft goods sash/belt could have helped the esthetics a bit more, but from the facial expression to all the articulation, this is looking to be the definitive Jabba's Palace Luke.

I went back and looked at my order history at SWS.com and I ordered the CIII Vader on Apr. 25, the day after CIII ended (CIII ran April 21-24 2005) if that is any indicator.

Actually he only compares the difference in the figures between the 2 sets. The Bantha and Massif are the same in each box (hence, no variant) so that's why they weren't included in the comparo.

Wow, joints are really turning out to be an issue with these TAC sculpts. That Luke is just bad... the horrible pose doesn't really help "sell" the figure either.

I think someone in Hasbro's art dept used a model of the Vader TIE for the image on the box, with some obvious Photoshop manipulation. Strange that Hasbro would resort to showing another company's product like that to sell their own. I smell lawsuit...
