Here's a Twi'lek smuggler (based on a DeviantArtpiece by Greyskull) in memory of Michael Martinez, a.k.a. MercuryArtStudios. As you probably know, Mike was tragically killed in an accident with a drunk driver. This customs has recently been auctioned off and all proceeds will go to Mike's fiancée and their daughter.

And here's a Duros spacer, a Yakfaca Secret Santa gift for my main man CHEWIE!

Never got around to posting this here fella. It's my second Rebel Commando, in addition to the one I made last year for the contest here at JD:

Loved the vintage Weequay back in the day and still do. That was one guy you didn't mess around with. Very good detailed head sculpt and an awesome facial expression. The latest version is on my wishlist, but it's not the counterpart to the Kenner version (different outfit). Still, glad Hasbro made the other Weequay too.

Loved vintage Bib, still have the one from waaaaay back. Like others, Bib never saw that much action, so he still looks really good. I really liked the robe on him and the headsculpt. Even today a pretty good sculpt, bearing in mind it's from the early 80s.

You can say what you want, but Kenner really got their softgoods down. Examples: Bib, Lando General, Klaatu, Jedi Luke, Yoda, to name a few.

I have the OTC one as counterpart to my vintage version and will wait for Hasbro to release über-Bib to replace him.

Thanks Glassman! Darth Malgus has been copied of Jokabofe's (a.k.a. Starwarsgeek) excellent version from quite a while ago. I did a few details differently, but still all credits go to him :)

Darth Malgus:
ROC Doc Lewis - head
Cobra Commander (Battle Armour) - upper arms
TAC Galactic Marine - shoulder armour
ROC Flash - breath mask, upper torso, modified upper body gear, lower arms/hands
X-Men Origins: Maverick - lower body, upper legs, neck piece
TAC Vader - lower legs, feet, modified saber hilt
And a random sith cape.

Ven Zallow:
Resolute Duke - head (resculpted hair)
ROC Duke (RIA) - torso, upper arms, upper legs
ROC Ripcord (Accelerator Suit) - shoulder armour, lower arms
TAC Concept Boba Fett - belt
CW Clone Trooper - belt ammo packs
25th. Ann. Wraith - lower legs, feet
Random saber hilt and cloak.

The base was made of a picture frame with two sheets of foamcore painted in shades of brown using a sponge. The pilar's a piece of PVC tubing and the chunks of wall are piece of styrofoam coated with a mix of plaster, woodglue and water.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Sony PlayStation 3

Haven't played on my PSP for months either. Sold my 10 games quite a while ago and bought GT for PSP. I think I'll get rid of it one of these days, though.

On the PS3, it's racing games all the way for me: NFS:Shift, F1 2010 and GT5. Tekken 6 not so much anymore, but I'll undoubtedly get back at that too. Really looking forward to Killzone 3 next month, though!

Last minute changes of a couple of minor things on the commissioner´s request: added some more chunks and small rubble, as well as scuff marks on the floor. Also gave Ven a green saber, like it should be  :)

And a dramatic cinematic type of shot. Well, kind of:

Recently bought those WFC fellas. Very cool models and I've seen some wicked custom repaints of these as well.

I still have my FX-7 from the 80s, fully functional I might add. Not so surprising since he got zero to none action in my scenarios. Did you know vinty FX-7 can literally stick his neck out for his fellow Rebels?

Lobot, oh my... another favourite of mine back then. And the OTC version is equally great. I agree with Jesse, weirdest yet most awesome set of accessories! Oh, and I just love OTC's pants, man. I'll bet their velvet too!

« on: January 22, 2011, 02:45 PM »
Never cared much for Dengar when I was a kid. Fett and Bossk always were my favs to be calling the shots. Looking at the card photo, I now think that actor tried out for a Blizzard Force trooper, was deemed unworthy, but to give him a part anyway, Dengar was made up, some bad trooper armour casts from ILM/LFL were thrown in along with some toilet paper and he got his...... 20 seconds of fame  ;)
