The title kinda says it all. I want to build something that could benefit from pieces being added on to a strong foundation, and baking it twice was an idea. Any thoughts?
-
after baking it many times, it becomes more brittle and it can even blacken. You are essentially drying it out more and more.
-
I boil some things over and over and it does crack sometimes. If it doesn't mess up too bad you can just put some super glue over the crack and contine lol.

Boil? You can boil it?

I boil sculpty all the time. Its safer than baking it. Just microwave a cup of water for about 2:45 sec and put the part in.
-
Or simmer in a pan for about 4 minutes...works like a charm!

I've boiled sculpy two or three times to add pieces. I've personally never backed sculpy.
-
On the flip side, I've never boiled and always cook it! :)
I have an article about making your own oven using a cardboard box that may help you here.
