Can anyone explain to me how the Yahoo player rankings work?!

Sometimes it seems like they just pull a number out of a hat.     In other words, I wish I knew.

It is a complicated formula.  I read someplace how they do it, I'll see if I can find that link for you. 

Suffice it to say that Demitra is ranked higher because when compared to previous performances and expectations, this season he is over performing.  In other words, since Demitra is over-performing at 9pts, he gets a #3 rank, and since Alfie is "underperforming" at 9 points he gets a #59 rank.

It will happen all season long, so don't put too much stock in those rankings.  Here's another good example:

#35 - Marc Chouinard (MIN) 5-3, 8pts
#36 - Peter Forsberg (PHI) 0-10 10 pts

Which of those two guys has the better scoring potential for the rest of the year (hint: it aint Chouinard  ).

The whole thing is really bogus...

How is the NHL about rescheduling postponed games?  Two of my guys aren't playing tonight because of Hurricane Wilma and I'm wondering if they just scrap the game, or do double headers (which I doubt) or set it up where they play on some day that they both would have had off?

It'll be made up.  Not sure how they'll do it though.  They'll look for an off day in the schedule or add it to the trip the next time they play Tampa or something.

Tonight is going to be an high scoring and important night, almost everyone has a full lineup playing.

Uggh, I only got 5 tonight. I should have started Morrow, and I could have pulled in 7pts. I have a feeling I'll drop a few spots after my lackluster performance tonight.

I screwed up today.  For some bizzare reason I thought that Belfour was up against Philadelphia and not Boston - so, figuring that Philly is the top goal scoring team in the league, I sit Belfour.  Next thing I know he has a 5-4 win over Boston.
