I've read snippets of the 'Wrath of Darth Maul' biography novel that pretty much is a tie-into for the future TCW episodes and these are the conclusions I can gather...

- Maul is a FALLEN Sith Lord. Dooku's the new Sith, so I guess this means Maul's been demoted (you gotta feel bad for the poor guy. Lost his lower half AND Sith title).

- It seems Maul has contracted a bad case of amnesia over the years. Should be interesting to see what his intentions are once he remembers who he was and what he wants to do with the galaxy.

- He has to die (and stay dead!) within this show. I could see him waging a second war, against the Jedi, within the Clone Wars, but this would mess with way too much canon. And besides, being that there's naturally no mention of him in ROTS and after, it's likely he won't make any long-term damage. I can't even see him lasting past Season 4 of the show, but who knows, why bring back Maul from the dead if you're going to feature him in the season finale only?

Being that I don't have any Wallymarts anywhere within an hour of me, I sure can't wait til Aurra sees general release in TVC. I seriously she had ankle joints until yesterday when I first saw loose pics of her.

And it never occurred to anyone on the Jedi Council that it MIGHT be a bad idea to pretend that the Chosen One's master was murdered and not let him in on the secret? The same guy who has all those attachment/loss issues?

I thought it was a risky, if not stupid, move to send Anakin to capture disguised Obi-Wan and put him in prison. Judging from Ep.II, Anakin would have killed the guy who "killed" Obi-Wan! And the sucky part would have been that he unintentionally killed his own master!

Looks like Maul is going to kick some major ass this season. Aah, to be an angry, bisected, fallen Sith Lord.

I was under the impression that this arc would wrap up before the holidays... so when the previews began to stop showing I realized that the last episode of the arc is in January. I was hoping that they'd do some big-scale kickoff, like they did when they started showing the Opress arc right after the hiatus.

I was looking through the list of planned episodes on Wookiepedia and it looks like the Maul return is the season finale... kinda disappointed that it's not sooner.

That lightsaber launcher is just a big goof on Hasbro. Yes, I see that they want to make these figures kid-friendly, but seriously?

That Cad Bane is the under-articulatd sculpt from the 2009 TCW line... not the newer version from that includes TODO-360.

Does anyone know if Maul has ball-jointed hips? It's hard to tell from the skirt.

I think with the CW animated line, they could totally get away with only 19 new figures for the year, with the rest of the figures being re-packs of figures from 2008-2011.

I dunno, it can't possibly be right that we're only getting 19 new figures for the rest of the year.

Especially with this season, there's a whole crap-load of new figures that Hasbro can make: Darth Maul, Nightsister Asajj Ventress, Nightsisters, Dexter Jettser-type Jedi... etc. If Hasbro resumes making new TCW figures by late 2012 and 2013, it'll be well after the end of Season 4. Maybe the 5 remaining unveiled figures are special ones.
