Baseball: Cal Ripken, Jr., Alex Rodriguez, Pudge Rodriguez, Rafael Palmeiro, Joe Clark, Mark McGwire, Dave Winfield, Reggie Jackson, Nolan Ryan, Roger Clemens, Pedro Martinez...too many to think of. I know I'll have to amend this list.
Basketball: Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Larry Bird, Hakeem Olajuwon, Patrick Ewing, Mark Aguirre, Rolando Blackman, Dirk Nowitski, Michael Finley, Steve Nash, Jason Kidd, more when I remember.
Hockey: Eddie Belfour, Mike Modano, Brett Hull, Patrick Roy, Peter Forsberg, Chris Chelios, Sergei Fedorov, Steve Yzerman, Mario Lemieux, and more when I look through my stubs.
football: Walter Payton (playoff game), Emmitt Smith, Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, Barry Sanders (MNF), Roger Staubach, Tony Dorsett, Drew Pearson, Brett Favre (playoff), John Elway, Fran Tarkenton (NFC Championship), Steve Largent, Eric Dickerson (playoff when he was a Ram), Earl Campbell, OJ Simpson (as a 49er), Joe Montana (as a Chief), Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris, Art Monk, Darryl Green, Joe Theisman (lots of times, but '79 final game, we kicked his BUTT), Phil Simms, Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Harvey Martin, Randy White, Lee Roy Jordan, Cliff Harris, Ed "Too Tall" Jones, Dan Marino, Bob Griese, Archie Manning, Dan Fouts, Dieon Sanders, Larry Allen, and many more. I have had season tickets to the Cowboys in 1977, 1978, 1979, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995. So, I've seen most of the great players in those two eras at Texas Stadium.

Man, Testaverde throws another 300+ game but throws 3 INTs to 1 TD. If Garcia doesn't suck, the Browns come back and win that game. Julius Jones is out with a broken shoulder.

I concur. But really, it's about time. How many Super Bowls in a row did the NFC win in the 90s? And what's the overall record AFC vs. NFC? The NFC has been overwhelming since the 70s so it's about time the AFC got back in the driver's seat.

It's obvious we need Woodson back. And we need another CB. But your defense let a 40 yr old QB throw for 355 yds. I'm reminded of a certain NFC Championship game in which the Vikes were shutout 41-0 when they had the #1 offense in the league. Defense wins championships, and as such, neither Dallas NOR Minnesota should be booking hotel rooms for the Super Bowl just yet.
I really think that Dallas' personnel just don't match up well with the Vikings. And match-ups dictate the NFL. Otherwise last year, Dallas beat Philly who beat Tampa who beat Dallas situations don't happen and the best team always wins.
Also remember that last year, New England lost to the Bills 31-0 on opening day. On "Any Given Sunday"...
