Collect All 92! / Re: 4-LOM

When I was a kid, as I didnīt get any Bantha tracks or similar magazine, I ignore that 4lom was a droid, I thought he  was an insectoid, cause the depiction of his head looked a bit kinda organic. (I thought he was an insection alien in a C3po armor)

I thought the same thing!

I always thought of this guy as Zuckuss and always will.  Didn't the name change come from West End Games years after Jedi was released?  So this was not so much a mix up, as it was a EU name change.

Yikes, that is the best modern Bespin Han?  Ugh.  Hopefully the new one in 2011 will meet expectations and this page can be updated!

Sadly, the vintage figure is quite arguably better than the modern version.  Hasbro - this needs to be corrected SOON!  This was one of my favorite figures I had as a kid.

Best ongoing feature ever.  Loving the side by side vintage/modern comparisons.  Keep it going!

Sad, no love for the DSD.  While he was not my favorite, I always liked this guy.

D*mn you Hasbro, get you hands out of my wallet!!!

Amazingly in my heavy traffic/heavily picked over Target I found a Hoth and Endor set yesterday.  They were tagged $35, so I was not sure about getting it, but hung on to the Hoth set to decide.  Ended up scanning the set on one of the scanners and it came up $12.  To say the least I just about ran back to grab the Endor set, but it was gone by the time I got there.  Around the corner I found the family that got it and they had 3 UBP's in their cart (2 endor, 1 hoth).

I had always liked the Hoth set but it just did not have enough that I wanted to justify $50 (or even $35).  But drop that price to $12 and that is $6 for the VTAC Snowtrooper's alone!

Here are the figures I have not seen on a peg at retail yet.  This is by far the worst year yet for finding figures (at retail).  Back in ROTS days, they only 2 I never found were Gree and Bly, and I think I found all but the walmart wave (I didn't even look) from last year's collection.  I have been lucky and managed to snag most of the figures I have been hunting for on HTS.com

McQuarrie Signature Series: Concept Stormtrooper
McQuarrie Signature Series: Concept Boba Fett
Jawa & LIN Droid (Tatooine Scavenger)
McQuarrie Signature Series: Concept Chewbacca (NON-UGH)
CZ-4 (CZ-Series Droid)
McQuarrie Signature Series: Concept Darth Vader
Hermi Odle (Baragwin)
C-3PO & Salacious Crumb (Jabba's Servants)
Roron Corobb (Jedi Knight)
Yoda & Kybuck (Jedi Master)
Anakin Skywalker (Jedi Knight)
Darth Revan (Sith Lord)
Darth Malak (Sith Lord)
Pre-Cyborg Grievous (Kaleesh Warlord Qymaen jai Sheelal)
McQuarrie Signature Series: Concept Starkiller Hero
McQuarrie Signature Series: Concept Snowtrooper

And the omission of wave 7 does not mean I have found it.  I just know it will be weeks before it may begin to show up around the Seattle area.

Finally got my McSnowy & McStarkiller.  6 McQuarrie figures up on HTS.com at one time, who would have ever guessed.

6 DST coins.

See my mistake above about this just being for Legends coins, not TAC.  ;)

D'oh, then it is only 2 EP V coins for me.

I just saw parts of wave 6 for the first time this weekend.  I have yet to see wave 5 at all.  I really hope they start putting lots of the McQuarries in the revision cases.  I'm only caught up through Vader.

More updates, walls are now painted and weathered (as are the doors).  I have put down the felt on the seats and added holes in the ceiling of the booth roofs (for adding lighting).

I'm finally finding time to get back to my cantina booths.  Here is the progress:

Chairs mounted, and wall going up...

Top view...

Arched booth ceilings and spackled.  The blocks above are structural support for wall to be nailed into...

Wall is up and the first layer of spackle is on...
