Not that interesting a character, but I'm still happy to have it.  Any pics surface yet?

Haven't seen any yet, only an annoucement (of sorts) along with the announcement of the snowtrooper bust.

Definitely not a current update or anything, but I've slowly been picking up some OT mini busts and added my latest addition this week with the ESB Yoda bust.  Like I said, old news, but a very well done mini bust.  I've got 5 OT busts now (and 1 PT), and I have to say that I like them all.

A stupid side question - I've kind of been working on a "main" lineup of the OT characters - and it got me to wondering how/if they could do an R2 to go in this line.  Would he ever get a mini bust, or is the statue something to look at instead?

That's a great question. One I've thought of before. As tiny as Yoda is, they made one of him, so it's not completely out of the question for them to create something that small again, but I think having half of a Droid would be a hard sale. Unlike C-3PO, he doesn't have arms to pose on the side of his body. They could do one of him flying with a little smoke and flames on the side, but again, that might look a little dumb given the size.

Didn't they also announce a series of Hoth Luke/Han/Leia busts?

Karl mentioned that next year is going to be focused heavily on TESB. Those three names did come up in the interview he did at Forbidden Planet. Since he IS Gentle Giant, I guess you could say it was an official announcement.

Exclusive Airborne Trooper mini-bust is up again at shopstarwars.com again.  Been sitting there for an hour or so now.  Edition size is 3000, so I'm more than unclear why everyone is paying top dollar for this on ebay.

I believe because you have to pay the shipping to receive the item ::)  So you probably have to log in, place the order and pay the shipping.  Just guessing.

Makes sense. Good thinking.

I'll be skipping this one as I don't collect the Classic Bust line. It's only $6.00, but I'd just end up trading it away.

Nice Brent, I'm no longer a PGM member so no Marine for me. The Airborne Trooper will be my last bust.

Pretty easy this time around.  I think GG's business practices may have caught up with them, because it was pretty easy for me to scored this bust as of 1:15 ET.
