Yeah I'm thinking I'll just have to do that, ask for a charge back. Very shoddy business practices for a company of this size.

I usually get stuff within a week or two.

Did you call or email them to check in about it?

Not yet, but I'm planning on calling them later in the week when my finals are finished. It hasn't been that long so I shouldn't get so worked up, but it is kind of annoying.

Someone did call to find out what the hold up was and it appears that Gentle Giant is extremely backed up with over 4000 orders between the huge sale, the Airborne Trooper, Galactic Marine and Holiday Commander Cody. Not an excuse, but this does seem to be why it is taking so long for items to ship.

I'm not particularly swayed by that logic.  It's been 2 or 3 weeks since I ordered the Marine, and there's no reason they couldn't be packaging up X number of these per day and sending them out as they get them boxed up.  It almost seems like they're doing all the packing for all of the backed up items and then are going to have them all picked up at once.

They need to start charging cards when they ship if it's going to take this long.

Looks like the items from the sale and the last few Mini-Busts have started to ship...finally.

Still no shipping notice for me, but if everyone else is having delays then that makes me feel a tad bit easier. Still though you'd think they'd send out an email letting everyone know they were having delays. ::)

I received this e-mail from GG last night:

Quote
Dear Gentle Giant Collector,

If you have placed an order within the last 2 weeks, we apologize for the delay in your shipments. Due to the high volume of orders currently in our fulfillment warehouse, we are running behind in getting our shipments out within the normal time frame. We are hoping to get all your orders shipped by mid-week next week.

You will receive an email notification with your tracking information once your order has shipped. We are working on updating order status on our website for orders currently in the system.

Thank you for your patience and continued support of Gentle Giant Ltd.

Got that same email a day or two ago. I also got two other emails from UPS saying that something was sent to me, but it didn't say who it was from nor where it was coming from. I'm assuming that it is my Galactic Marine and Holiday Commander Cody.

I got my Holiday Commander Cody yesterday along with my Galactic Marine today. Both arrived with no damage. The little plastic tab on the bottom of the Cody where the batteries are kept was very hard to get opened, but I did manage.

I still haven't heard anything back from GG regarding my sale order. Its been 3 weeks now, no shipping notice, no e-mail response. This company sucks, I truly wonder how so many collectors can put up with this crap.

I haven't received any specific word, other than general UPS shipping notices.  There is no indication this is coming from GG, but since I don't have anything else on order, it must be from them.  I've got three "items" arriving in the next few days.  The only one I that I actually know what it is is the Renz bust because it's coming from one Philip Wise.

According to the tracking email I got, my Renz bust should be here on Saturday via FedEx Home Delivery. However, Philip did say that FedEx did not ship these out as soon as they got them like they were supposed to, so the shipping confirmations could be off by a day. That means it would be Tuesday when I got mine instead as Home Delivery runs Tuesday - Saturday.

2009 is looking to be a good year.

Pictures first posted by Darth Sledge at GGC.com.

I just wonder...will Han's coat be brown or blue?  ;)

Dang, those could ruin my "Imperials Only" rule.

My guess on the Han coat color is they'll do both, one as a chase.  I'd prefer blue. :-X
