I'm sure we've done something like this many times, but I never get tired of typing about myself, and I'm sure others are the same. So let's see your 12 Facts About Yourself.
Me:
1. I'm world's best educated bum, AKA professional loser.
2. I like beer. A lot.
3. I like toys.
4. I like girls, but girls don't like guys who like toys and lots of beer.
5. I have a dog and a cat.
6. I have the bling bling of the nether region.
7. I'm a writer, but have never made a dime off my scribblings.
8. This is harder than I thought.
9. I'm in love with an unavailable woman. I suck terribly.
10. My toy collection is worth more than my Hyundai cost brand new.
11. I like movies and I like bitching about movies.
12. I actually enjoyed the Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones, and own every Jar Jar Binks 3 3/4" figure made.

Okay, here's my list:

1) I was born 15 days before the Jonestown mass suicide of 914 people, 14 days before the unsolved murder case of 3 teens and a 20 year old at a Burger Chef in Speedway Indiana
1a) I share a birthday (not year though) with Dennis Miller
2) I will finish my second degree in December. 1st was in Information Systems, this in Marketing
3) My Star Wars collection is worth more than the car I drive, at least 50 times over (I drive an 87 Cutlass)
4) In less than 10 minutes I'll be watching Chapter 8 of the Clone Wars cartoon
5) The most recent item I won on eBay was a Clone Wars cartoon banner
6) I love beer of all varieties, especially Tsing Tao, Corona and Guiness (not together though)
7) On more than one occasion, I've had so much to drink I was scared I would die
7a) On many of those occasions, I have slept in a shower stall in a college dorn
8) I've never had any injuries that warranted a night or more stay in a hospital

7. I've been in two bus accidents. Not responsible for either one.
8. The only time I saw the World Trade Center was from an airplane.
9. My friend Sugu and I had to literally break out of the Kodak Theater in L.A. after a movie at the Mann multiplex to get back to our car, three days before the Oscars.
10. My first memory is seeing SW at the Skylark drive in 1978.

1. I dated my wife for six years before proposing and then was engaged for two years after that. This past October we celebrated our 1 year anniversary but have been together for nine years.
2. We lived together for seven years, six of them by ourselves.
3. I hate spiders but my favorite comic book character is Spider-man.
4. I'm anal retentive about my possessions, be it toys, CDs, DVDs, etc. You can borrow them (well, maybe not the toys) but you better sure as **** treat them like your own and return them in the condition I gave them or they'll be hell to pay.

2. I been on the picket lines outside my work for the past 38 days.
2a. Being on a picket line sucks.
3. When I was 4 I fell into a fire pit at a state beach and got a third degree burn on my hand.
4. I drink way to much soda.
5. I haven't won the CSW/GH survoir contest in serveral tries.
6. Family member was a victim of the the Night Stalker aka Richard Rameriez.

8. Going to see the movie Gladiator made me get into a car accident.

- I lived in Seoul, South Korea for 3 years when I was in high school (my dad was on business there as an offshore manufacturing director). Spent 10th - 12th grade there (graduated there) at Seoul Foreign School, before returning back home to So Cal. Got voted Best Athlete and Most Rowdy my senior year too! :P Can still read and write Korean, but can't speak it nearly as well as when I lived there.
- I've cracked my noggin open on FIVE separate occasions, all requiring stitches... ::)
- I spent NINE years in college up in Santa Barbara... What can I say? Too many distractions there, and not enough focus on my part! But hey, at least I met my wife there, and developed some serious beach volleyball and beer drinking skills! 8)
- Aside from anything and everything Star Wars, I also collect Greatest Hits CDs (1950's to present), DVDs, coins (just U.S.), baseball cards (1955 to 1992), HO model railroading stuff, and other random and less exciting oddities...
- I've gained 58 pounds over the past 6 years. :o :'(
- Patty and I have been married 2 1/2 years, and been together for 7 years, but have NO plans of ever having kids.
- Have traveled extensively throughout Asia, Europe, Australia, and North America.

- Was a rabid Christie Brinkley fan all throughout my youth. Had a very large desk with a removable glass top, that I had a HUGE collage of her pictures under (no wonder I could never get any work done in high school). Kept a scrapbook of her too! Those Total Fitness Gym commercials still make me very horny for her... :D

I'm new here, but some people might recognize my stupid-ass name from Rebelscum and/or Galactic Hunter. But this 12 point list can serve as an introduction to those people that don't know me.
1. I think Asajj Ventress is the best Star Wars action figure ever.
2. I love the band Tool.
3. I've been a vegan for the past 8 years.
4. I've been married for a little over five years to my former boss.
5. My former boss and I have two kids together--a four year old daughter named Lily and a five-and-a-half week old son named Zach.
6. I'm a lawyer and have no idea how I ended up as one, but I like it.

11) I've been delusional before, due to extreme illness (and subsequent fever spells). In those delusions, I have:
Tried to feed a bath towel cat food, because, well, I thought it was my cat
Thought I was someone else
Spoke my own language
12) I'm clinically diagnosed Obsessive Compulsive. Some of my more humorous quirks are:
Constant hand washing
Fingertip touching (if I happen to touch the tip of my thumb to a fingertip, I must touch all of my other fingertips)
Cleaning/organizing (while living on campus, my friends came into my room and switched two DVDs in my collection (about 100 at the time); as soon as I came into the room, I noticed it, and flipped)

Thanks for the welcome. I've lurked here on and off since it started, but wasted most of my time on one of the other two sites. I figured I'd finally grace you all with my presence ;).
My real name's Ryan, by the way, and I'll answer to either.

2. I am the stereotypical Texan that thinks Texas is the greatest place in the world and will fight like crazy to not have to go out of state to visit my In-Laws.
3. I don't have an Oil Well.
4. I was in Law School at Oklahoma City University when the Federal Building got bombed, it blew out some windows in the apartments where I lived.
5. I love my Boss.
6. I work for myself.
7. I married a girl I met in Law School (if you can imagine, they made us sit in Alphabetical Order so she was stuck sitting by me for a whole year)
8. She's a Lawyer too, but quit practicing when we had our daughter 2 years ago.
9. This summer I bought my very first NEW car all by myself. 2003 BMW X5 4.4
10. Star Wars is what keeps me sane when it gets hectic/stressfull at the office.
11. I don't do Personal Injury, mainly because I don't want to do a TV commercial where I tell people I am the "Texas Hammer" or a "Smart, Tough, Attorney" at 2:00am on the local independent channels.

Dave's right. There's gotta be a limit of some sort, though not as low as one. I've been a Raiders and Rams fan my whole life since those were both my local teams growing up, and I've adopted the Packers since that's my wife's favorite team. But I think any more than that and you're really pushing it!
So there. I just set the limit at 3! So you're gonna have to buckle down Frank, and slim your list down. Or else! :P Now get to it, and report back to us once you've made your decisions... ;)

1. We had a natural gas leak in our house yesterday, might have been leaking for a long time to, pretty scary to think about

Somebody asked me about my education and background at another forum and hasn't given me the satisfaction of a reply yet - so I thought I would take the opportunity to talk about myself here. :P
I’ve lived a lot of places before where I’m at now, several of them more than once. Kansas, Montana, Minneapolis, Chicago, LA, Kansas (again), Rhode Island, Salt Lake, Rhode Island (again), Minneapolis (again), then back to Salt Lake - (again).
I studied theater design at the Goodman School of Drama / DePaul University in Chicago and industrial design at the Rhode Island School of Design on nearly full scholarships. I’ve considered an advanced degree, but it holds little value for my line of work and I remain indecisive about what I would want to study and if “personal development” is a worthy reason to pursue another degree.
I have a great little family.
I’m active in my religion.
I’m the principal of a design firm that creates branded environments.
I facilitate men’s work, think Robert Bly. My mission is to reach my full potential by helping other people to recognize theirs.
I have a chronic genetic degenerative disease called Ankylosing Spondylitis where my immune system eats my cartilage so my bones fuse together and I loose range of movement. I’ve had symptoms since I was 17 but wasn’t dx’d until I was 27, it hurts a lot, but I’ve got it under control.
I ski, hike, camp and climb.
I read books.
I’d like to to make custom Star Wars stuff rugged enough to be played with.
I’d give my left nut to be on Survivor.

1. I Race just about everything I can get my hands on(mostly cars).
2. I've been married now for 12 years.

Bonus facts about moi:
1. I use exactly three tissues in the morning, every morning to blow my nose. Just something weird I recently realized.
2. We were supposed to close on our first home on Tuesday, but because its an estate sale and everyone has to agree, we don't. One of the siblings protested.
3. That sibling is now incarcerated in prison ::) (Although this isn't really about me, but it affects me. Stupid ass hole)
4. We now have to wait until early May to close. Just a bump in the road, I guess. I guess I'd be madder if it wasn't for #5.

Well, lucky for you Bob, Dale was actually talking about the other Bob. You know - that fella that hangs out at GH... Membraneman, or something to that effect... He's the butt of most age jokes around the boards, since he's like the Godfather of Star Wars collecting... So you're off the hook, unless you're even older than him, in which case we'd all happily tease you instead! ;) But I think that Bob is like 63, or something, so I'd be pretty surprised if you were older than him!
BTW, congrats on the new gig Mikey. That's cool. I'm not digging my job much anymore either (after 6 years), and am thinking about relocating as well... :-\ Good luck on closing that house escrow too!

Congrats Mikey, I hope that the new job is everything you are looking for...and that you are happy and successful. Good luck on the house front too, my wife and I are looking to move (hopefully soon) as well...and get our first "real" house. Right now we live in a modular home (which is nice, and we like), but it doesn't have a basement or garage...so we're hoping to move on to something with a little more room to stretch, etc. Best of luck!

Thanks Matt and Brian. I'm pretty sure I'm going to love it and not be grumpy about going to work every day like I am now.
As for the house, like I said, just a bump in the road. If everything worked out the way it was supposed too, I would have taken a week off in between jobs to work on it and not use any vacation or personal time. But that's not going to happen now. Just have a bunch of long hour weekend days to look forward to. Might have to call in some favors from friends ;)
