Have we all heard? At about 3:15 today , a small , private aircraft crashed into the Bel Air Condo - Hi rise. So far , there have been 2 confirmed fatalaties. Police Expect more. The plane supposivley went hafe way in , some broke off , and fell to the street below.
Supposivley , they just put the fire out.

New York Yankees pitcher Cory Lidle was the pilot of the plane.

Personaly , I hate the yankees , as a team. But , this , is pretty darn sad.
As of now , 4 people DIA , some reported wounded. The 4 Dead , 2 in the plane , 2 in the appartment.
So much for another normal day.

According to CNN, it's only 2 dead now, at least there's some good news.

First heard about this on the train on the way home from work, didn't catch who was on the plane or the size of it just a plane crashed in NYC. Glad that it wasn't as deadly as it could of been. Sorry for the families of the two dead pilots.
On a side note the Mets manger lives in that building as will. Everyone in his family made it out alive.

This plane hit the building across the street from where my fiancee works. If that jackass ****sucker of a yankees pitcher hadn't momentarily regained control to miss her building, before crashing into the next, there's a good chance she would have been hit. The plane hit the same general area of the neighboring building as the one she works in.
Just in case I needed another reason to hate the ******* Yankees.

This incident makes me wonder why some planes are allowed to fly around NYC...especially after 9/11.

You are totally and completely out of line.
Nobody knows what happened. Maybe Lidle and the flight instructor were KO'd by carbon monoxide and lost consciousness. Maybe there was an engine failure and they lost control of the plane.
If you really believe what you just wrote, not only are you disrespecting the dead, but I seriously question your mental capacity..
Get a hold of yourself, and use your brain.

Yeah, that was a little overboard.
Your fiance is okay as is everyone that lived in the apartment complex. While it was tragic that two peopled died (both passengers) let's be thankful that no one else got hurt.
