I’m slightly tempted too but am going to pass.  The value is there, but they seem to have overproduced every troop builder pack except the obvious one to over produce (Stormtrooper) and I already have more of these then I know what to do with.

They’ve also got all these figures on sale that used to be $13.99 or $14.99 and are now $16.99.

Agree.  I was a little bummed to see that a lot of the older TVC single figures got bumped from the old prices $12.99/$13.99 to the new 2023 $16.99 price before this sale.  There are a few figures I would have picked up at the old price + sale but aren't quite as appetizing at the new sale price.  Feels very "KB Toys" to mark something up so you can put it on sale.

I bought multiples of all of these except Merrick’s droid, the Death Trooper pack, Rescue set and a couple of reissues when they first came out or soon after. Still, the urge to splurge is strong. Gotta keep reminding myself the hassle and time I spent having to pack a sizeable amount of extras recently. Most infuriating was coming across figures here and there after I thought I got them all. I swear, it’s as if over the years, people pulled from my stash and hid the figures randomly.

I now have a Shoretrooper pack and a Retro 6-Pack sitting in my cart, and I am deciding whether I need to go through with it or if I am just being impulsive (no pun intended.)

It works out to $8 or so per figure, so that's not a bad deal...but do I need them?

Yeah, I gave it a day and decided to buy those two multipacks after all. I am pretty happy with the purchase.

OMG, how much stuff is dropping right now???  I just got the Cantina Band last week.  And over the weekend I got shipping notifications from Hasbro Pulse for the Endor Bunker, and notifications from Amazon about the Speeder Bike(s) and the Skiff Guard reissues.

Yeah, lots of things dropping right now. I got the Endor bunker yesterday (it's pretty excellent), and there should be a couple speederbikes arriving today.

This is what usually happens with Gentle Giant.  One or two mini-busts all year
and then like 6 will all ship within a month of Christmas.

Speaking of dropping?  How about prices!!!!  I saw a peg tag for TVC figures at Target marked down to $12.99 each, and all of the figures were current.

Not sure what to make of that.   In theory if the economy slows enough people have to lower prices to get people buying again.  But one Target doesn’t make a trend and just about everything seems to be $16.99.

Agreed.  One store doesn’t equal a trend.  But in light of the Hasbro CEO having a startling revelation that his business strategy blew up in their faces in Q4, and that Hasbro would shift to a “Customer First” model?  This might be the first indication of some changes.  And perhaps the lower price of Cassian and Vel Sartha on Hasbro Pulse might be another such indicator.  Tie that together with the abrupt price change of the IJ Retro figures?  I see a little bit of a trend developing.

Amazon has the latest iteration of Slave 1 priced at $186.  (Down 7%.)  Still a bit high for my taste...especially when we now know a carded version of the figure is coming.
