I'm not 100 percent sure, but I think that "normally" Hasbro does their updates with new figures on Wednesdays, usually towards the end of each month.  I was thinking they might do it this Wednesday, since the next two are Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.  Here's hoping at least, I'm ready to see some more previews , and maybe see confirmation of the next wave they will show.  Who knows?

Thanks for the trailer link, I am looking forward to seeing this one.  Doc Ock was always my favorite Spidey villain as a kid, and it will be interesting to see him brought to the big screen as well.  From the looks of the trailer, it looks good so far.  I enjoyed the first Spiderman, mainly because he was one of my favorite childhood heroes, and it was so great to see him in movie form finally.  The only thing I didn't care for in the first movie was the appearance/costume of the Green Goblin.  Just looked strange, Power Ranger-ish to me I guess....but the movie was still good.

Morgbug....no worries, I totally knew you were kidding....I'm sorry if I came off like I was mad or something.  I just didn't want all your Kubrick collectors thinking a newbie like me was coming in to get your scraps .  I do appreciate the offer for the extra Han, I will definitely think about it.  I still haven't decided if I want to start or not, I have the feeling I will want them all if I do.  Anyways, thanks again for the advice and the help....I really appreciate it...and sorry if I sounded like a jerk earlier .

I agree LandotheScoundrel, I really think going towards this Clone-style of figure is a step towards the "ultimate" versions of characters we've always talked about wanting Hasbro to put out.  I guess we probably said the same thing during vintage times, then during POTF2 times, but I really don't see a whole heck of a lot further they can come in the sculpting area in this scale...at least in the next 5 years or so.  But, maybe I'm wrong and it can get much better.  Heck, I think these newer figures (as well as the POTJ line) were worlds better than most of POTF2, and those were better than vintage in many regards.  Let's hope this is the first step to making the "ultimate", articulated, sculpted, neutral, no action-featured versions of our favorite characters .  If they did that, they could re-release and repackage without as much of an outcry I would think....if they were figures like this clone, that basically made everyone happy .

Thanks for the advice Morgbug, and I wasn't necessarily hinting that anyone needs to help me out.  I know that all of you have paid your price trying to obtain these figures for yourselves and your friends.  I was mainly just curious how much it would cost to pick up a few figures here and there.  I wanted to start with Han, because he's my favorite along with Chewie, and I figured Chewie might be kind of unreasonable since he was in the early bird set.  I was just wondering about prices on some of the figures, I really can't afford to drop a lot of money on a single figure (and my wife wouldn't be too happy with me either).  Thanks again for the tips!

I was sure what forum this went best in, since it covers different lines...but if this is wrong, I'm sorry, and feel free to move this .  I was just curious what your favorite figure, or figures, are in your collection.  You can answer this however you want...favorite figure of all time, pick one or a few from each "line", anything.  I guess I am thinking Star Wars figures mostly, but if anyone wants to include a different line...that's fine too!  Whether it is because of nostalgia, a great search, your favorite character, or just an amazing figure....list your favorites here .

Vintage: Han Solo - Trenchcoat, Luke Skywalker - Jedi (these were my two favorite figures as a kid, and the two most wanted for me personally.  I can still remember exactly where I found them and when I bought them )

POTF2:  Commtech Han Solo, Commtech R2, Commtech Stormie, Gold "Shiny" C-3PO (The Han was the first figure I bought when I got "back" into collecting around the time of Episode I.  The R2 and 3PO, CTC Stormie, I just like, and 3PO is probably the best one I own still at this point.

POTJ: Bespin Capture Han Solo (not only because Han and Chewie are my favorites, but because my wife went looking for this figure and gave it to me for Christmas the year it was out...has a special place to me.....a LOT of great figures from this line though....300th Fett, Scout Trooper, Dagobah Vader, Mechanic Chewie, Plo Koon, Bacta Luke, etc.)

Episode I: First Release Obi-Wan Kenobi (this was in the first "batch" of figures I bought when I first got back into collecting....just to see what figures were like at this stage....I missed the "buff" stage of POTF2, and started off with Obi, Qui Gon, Maul, 3PO, Yoda, and Anakin...as well as CTC Han and Luke)

Saga:  Not sure if there is a clear-cut favorite, several great figures...and it looks like my favorites from this "line" are yet to come in 2004.  Several that I really like: Bespin Luke, Hoth Han, Cloud City Chewie, Jedi Master Yoda, Yoda w/Chian, Ephant Mon, Coleman Trebor, Jango KE, Jedi Council Screen Scenes, and many others I am forgetting.  Like I said, best is yet to come I think in 2004.

Clone Wars: Don't have much of this, but will definitely pick up a couple (or more) of those SA Clones if I find them.  From the pictures I have seen this might be one of, if not the, best Star Wars figure made.  I also quite enjoy the ARC Trooper from this line.

Non 3 3/4" Favorites:  I really enjoy both the Unleashed and Playskool lines.  I have only the OT sets from Playskool, and hope these get revisited in the future.  The Unleashed line is amazing IMO, and I so far own Han, Luke, Yoda, and the Fetts.  Those are my favorites, in that order I think.

Non-Star Wars (if any):  I don't collect much else, just a few here and there (favorite characters)...so from what I have, I would have to say my Rohan Armor Legolas, and my Marvel Legends Beast.

Last time I checked, the pics were still available at the Lordoftheringsguide.com forums, if anyone is still interested in seeing them.  I'm sure they won't be there for too long.
