So far I've picked up War Machine, Crimson Dynamo, 1st Appearance Armor and the movie Marks 1 and 2. I'm holding off on the others, I bet there'll be a nice sale somewhere around the time the movie comes out so I'll pick up the rest then.

The lack of villains in these superhero lines makes no sense to me either. I remember as a kid I collected ninja turtles, and had wanted to get into the Batman Animated stuff as well. I wasn't interested in having 20 different versions of the turtles and batman, the figures I wanted most were the bad guys and other wierdos. They were generally much more interesting looking to me anyway, but maybe most kids these days don't think the same way? Either that or toy companies are very out of touch with what kids actually want, but who knows for sure. On that note, i'm happy to see the Iron Man line actually does have some non Iron Man characters coming, we've got Whiplash, Nick Fury and Black Widow from the movie line and comic Iron Monger, Titanium Man and Guardsman from the comic series, pretty weak as far as numbers go, but still not terrible compared to a lot of other hero lines I've seen over the years. Hopefully we'll see it continue a bit and expand the supporting characters and villains a bit more. A comic version of Whiplash would be cool, seeing as he is in the movie and all.

It would also be really cool if they could work that concept into one of the figures. Great way to give us a business suit Tony while still giving it kid appeal due to the snap on armor.

I think the first wave is the first movie stuff and the comic series, while wave 2 is supposed to have the mark 1V, War Machine and Whiplash, plus a few other variant armors, so it's possible that the 2nd wave hasn't hit in big numbers yet.

Sweet, I was hoping for stuff like this. Black Widow and Nick Fury will be welcome additions to the shelf. I sure hope they tone down the bug eyes on Whiplash though.

I'm trying to cut back my overall spending, but I've still got quite a few lines on the go.

Star Wars - I've got the ESB wave left to get and then it's basically tracking down the odd figures that I've missed over the years until the drought is over.

Masters of the Universe Classics - I've got a sub, and am in it for a good little while next year as well, as long as they keep releasing unique characters that I like the looks of.

DC Universe Classics - Pick and choose the characters I like.

Marvel - I'm loving the Iron Man 2 figures and will likely pick up all the unique comic armors as well as the movie characters. I'm also down for the rest of the Secret Wars packs, but not too much else.

Futurama - I've grabbed a Fry and Bender and am tempted to get more into this line as I love the show.

what are your thoughts on the Deep Dive?  I have yet to seem him and I am on the fence about him even when I do see him - but I am leaning towards "yes".

Also, I could have swore I heard that War Machine's head is swivel and not a ball joint - can anyone confirm either way?  If its swivel its not a deal breaker of course - the figure is awesome looking.  I just want to know.   thanks in advance.

I think War Machines head is a ball joint, just not a very good one, and behaves more or less like a swivel, but there does seem to be some slight tilting up/down, side to side movement going on with mine.

I found them at Wal-Mart, but I live in Canada, so I'm not sure if they'll be hitting the US around now as well or not.

I picked up a couple of the new Iron Man 2 figures tonight. Grabbed War Machine, Crimson Dynamo and Mark 1 armor and I must say I'm very impressed with the quality of these in comparison to most of the other Hasbro Marvel figures I own. They feel sturdier, the paint aps are solid, the sculpting is sharp, the joints are all tight and they're nicely articulated. Compared to the Wolverine Origins figures, these things are masterpieces, had the WO figs been done this well I bet they wouldn't have stunk up the pegs quite as badly as they have in my area. Very happy with them, hoping to score a few more later. It would be great if they give us a business suit Tony Stark eventually.

It's looking like they plan on offering an all inclusive sub next year, but that still doesn't help the current problems. According to a statement made today they will be increasing production levels again, but it won't actually come into effect until June's figure.

With Battle Cat and Trap Jaw sold out now, you guys would probably have little trouble pawning you're extras off to someone. From the looks of the boards there's a lot of people pissed off about missing them.

I managed to snag mine as well. Shipping was only 2.55 for international after using my sub discount code. Not too shabby, though it's always quite an intense experience on ol Matty Collector.

Aftre seeing the Toyfair pics of this, I'm dissapinted by the paintjob.  Hell, the POTF2 version is feels more worn and torn than this one.  It looks fresh off the assembly line.

I'm with ya there. It's a great sculpt, but so much of the details seems lost by the lack of paint to bring them out more.
