What a neat encounter, Ennis!  It's great that she took an interest the way she did, even if her company ends up not being able to do anything about it.  It would be interesting to see her post here, if she chose to do so.  Could mean some good press for our forums.

I've never had this experience before.  In fact, I hardly ever see anyone else in the SW aisle when I'm toy shopping.  Once or twice, maybe, but I've yet to have an actual conversation with them.  :(

Oh, and thanks for dropping my name, too!...  :D  oh wait... ;) ;)

Pen, your Daala is just TERRIFIC -- what else can I add to the that the others haven't already said?  Great painting and use of parts -- it looks just like that reference picture.  Do you have a custom figure site of your own?  (If not, I know where you can get one... ;) ) I am definitely raring for more fine Pendragon creations!

Would love to see your stuff in the Slaves and Imperials project, too.  :)

I've been really enjoying seeing people's entries so far, and am looking forward to trying one  myself.  The Slaves and Imperials theme is a good one, because it's so versatile -- really encourages lots of creativity!  (Not that anyone here has trouble with that...)

For the time being, here's a few of my older customs on the slave theme:

Diva Shaliqua
Aurra Sing (Slave)

Yes, Hasbro really got that "who, me?" look down.  I'd be interested in casts too -- do keep us posted on that!  :)

Great job on these once again.  These are some of the best Imperial femfigs I've yet seen.  :)

It's the big Comic book convention where Hasbro shows off new star wars toys and new comic book movies are premiered. It's held in San Diego every year. Darth_Delierious is working at it this year. The dates are July 20-23rd

Oh, that works out well -- thanks for passing that on.  I'll certainly be done with him by then!  Watch for a li'l something next week... :)

Glassman, I've said it before, and I say it again: those two Imperial ladies of yours are absolutely A-1.  FANTASTIC job with the sculpting and painting (as always).  And you really got those Depa and Padmé heads to look completely different from the originals.  I'm in absolute awe -- standing beside you in  this Group Project is not at all easy to do!  :)

If it's all right wiith you, I may be asking for one of those Imperial femme bodies soon -- hope we can set something up, trade-wise.  :)

So Findswoman have you any news on our Pimp Daddy's adventures? It needs to get to DD for next month's Comic-con.

Sorry it's taken me so long -- Pimp Daddy Kenobi hasn't been able to do much because I had to finish up the school semester.  But it's done now, so I'm looking at next week for a quick tour of the neighborhood and a visit with some of the other customs.  Again, sorry abt the delay!  :o

When exactly is ComicCon?  I can plan to get it to him by them if I know the dates.  :)

Hey Brent, I've been meaning to ask -- how is this Greenstuff stuff to work with?  Does it cure with heat, like Sculpey, or does it cure in the air?  I'm on the lookout for new sculpting media (Sculpey can be darn frustrating with some of the really, really tiny stuff) and would love to hear your thoughts on this stuff.  Thanks! :)

Just finished my first trade with Harley, and it was fantastic!  Excellent shipping & packing, great communication, and a very friendly fellow.  I look forward to many more, and everyone here should, too!  :)

Thanks again, Harley -- it's been a real pleasure!

If someone could post a pic of her, it'd be much appreciated.

The only image I know of was that Hyperspace Photo photo a while back...

There's plenty more over at The Padawan's Guide! That site's my favorite source for SW costume reference pictures -- I go there all the time.

Johnboy, thanks for the bigger pictures!  Once again, very nice work on Sheltay, and it's always wonderful to see well-done female customs.  Inspired by your efforts, I'm going to give this gal a try myself -- just started her tonight, in fact.

Why thank you, guys!  :)

Glass, m'dear, you can see the rest by clicking on the link in my above post!  :)  Here it is again, just in case.  And yes, I'm sure with the advent of your new little girl, everyone in the family will be rediscovering their girly side.  :D  (She will have an older brother, right?  That goes for him, too.  ;) )

Brent, oh gosh, there are so many queenly Naboo outfits I'd love to do.  The victory gown and the Coruscant kimono, for example.  But an entire series probaby won't be possible for a while!
i know of others who have done this, though -- check out this link for some beautiful examples.

And gosh, thanks for your kind words, Phruby, Quazar, and Chewie.  I'm most honored!

More to come soon, I hope...

More fantastic work from the fantastic Chewie!  Your transformation of that dirty, gritty trooper into the immaculately white one is nothing short of magnificent.  (And I love the look of the satin finish, too).  Great work on that diorama, too, and in getting the little plastic people into convincing poses (I'm thinking especially of the Vader/Kenobi duel scene).

The preview pic looks exciting indeed.  Is this for a completely new chapter, or for a "special edition" of an existing chapter?  Whichever it is, I'm looking forward to it!  Keep up the great stuff...

Boy dont i know what you mean chewie, I'm only averageing 50 hrs a week, but all my spare time, i'm doing the stuff my wife "shouldnt" be doing. Thanks

Ah, isn't this just what husbands are for, pregnancy or no pregnancy!  :D  Glass, what is your wife not supposed to be doing at present?  (This'll be good for me to know at some point in the future...)  And how much longer do you guys have before the Big Day?

Thanks again to all for your comments, compliments, and good counsel!

And now for an update.  Today I invite you all to hop on over and take a look at my just-completed 12" Queen Apailana!  She's made from one of the Portrait Edition Amidala dolls and sports a handmade outfit and headdress.  I'm very proud of her, and I hope you enjoy her too!

Here's a small teaser photo:

Do let me know what you think!

Glassman, love those sculpted femme-in-uniform bodies!  They'l look stunning on both your Imperial ladies.   Do you think you'll have those available for trade at any point?  :D
