Yeah, she happily admits to having her boobs lifted after 4 kids.  I have much less of a problem with that than I do with implants.

But yes, I'll agree that RS has got a great vintage community, and some good quality posters in the Other Collectibles and Props sections, which should go without saying, since that's where the money is, and it's usually the "older" folks who have the disposable income to dabble in such collectibles.

I do actually like Mark Hurray, who does 'Scum's Q & A though.  I've chatted with him on several occasions, and he's good people.  As for GH, yep, we definitely like those guys over there, and never question their news either.  We usually try to have JD/GH get-togethers whenever there's a convention in town that we're both frequenting.

Yeah, but what do you think about those ******** over at http://CreatureCantina.com ?

This keeps up and the Vintage community may not have a choice but to relocate...

I agree that RS is the only place for Vintage talk.  There have been efforts by various disgruntled people to move the community, but it won't budge.  It'd take something catastrophic to compel a migration at this point.

But there are some talented people out there amoung our own community who are also top shelf...Mister Bill Cable comes to mind.

I've just added my latest masterpiece up on http://CreatureCantina.com .  I'm really happy with how this one turned out, so I figured I'd share.   ;D

Seeing as this is supposed to be a "theater," this film is amazingly apropriate:

But here's a little old-school Swimsuit Edition stuff, courtesy of SI.com, including the alltime love of my life - Ms. Brinkley...

Now that looks uncomfortable...

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Super Hero/Comic Book Movies
« on: August 3, 2005, 12:35 AM »
Let's see...

Spidey3 - In good shape.  Sequel in pre-prod.  Same team that did the first 2.  Even though it had it's really dumb elements (organic web spinners, psyching yourself out of being a superhero) it was well-received.  Certain to make another $300M.

X-men3 - In bad shape.  Getting rushed through production with a new director and new crew.  They made some good casting decisions so far, but all the script reviews I've read so far have been bad.  They're gonna regret losing Singer.

FF2 - It'll do well enough.  FF was fun.  Hopefully they'll capture the magic of the book a little better.  FF was just a bit too campy with a disappointing ending.

Hulk2 - Long-term in development.  Don't know when or if we'll see it.

Punisher2 - P1 bombed.  It bombed because it sucked.  It bombed because the character didn't remotely resemble the character of the comic.  It was barely better than the Dolph Lundgren one.  P2 is supposedly coming, but I really hope they keep the suits off it this time.  It'll never reach it's potential as a franchise.

Blade - Done.  The Nightstalkers spin-off has mostly been written off.  But it was a good trilogy.

Daredevil - No sequel plans.

Elektra - No sequel plans.

Upcoming:

Iron Man - In long-term development hell.  I doubt it'll happen.

Captain America - Could be fantastic.  But with a real war going on, I don't know about them doing a superhero movie about war.  I'd just hope they'd set it during WW2, not try some contemporary crap.

Wolverine - Planned after X3, supposedly.  It'd certainly be popular.  As long as he's not ruined in X3

Ghost Rider - In post-production.  He's such an obscure, niche character... hard to tell how it'll do.  The same thing could be said of pretty much all the rest of your Marvel characters.  Nick Fury, Luke Cage, Sub Mariner... I don't know anyone who even reads their books, much less would go to a movie about them.  I guess we'll see if Ghost Rider does well.  If not, I don't see many of these other movies making it.

DC:

Batman & Superman - both set for multiple sequels, as well as a cross-over.  They should do well if they don't get campy.

Wonder Woman - I'm pretty sure the dude from Serenity/Buffy/Angel is attached to WW.  So it could potentially kick some ass.  They just gotta chase away rumors that it'll star Kim Bassinger (something I heard not long ago).  You gotta get somebody smoking hot to star, not somebody over-the-hill.

Rest of the cast of JLA and JLA - that's a tough sell.  None of the characters are all that popular.  Each is a bit one-dimentional, but together the movie would be too expensive.  You can't do a small-scope JLA movie like you can a small-scope X-men... you pretty much gotta be doing something cosmic apocalyptic, and that's pricy.

Teen Titans - Now there's a hit for you.  The cartoon is HUGE.  A live-action version would be very successful.  And it could be done with a reasonable scope at a reasonable price.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Those you're forgetting...

Sin City 2 - The sequel to the BEST COMIC BOOK MOVIE EVER (except for maybe... maybe Superman II) is gonna happen.  Much of the original cast will return.  The DVD for SC1 comes out in two weeks, for which I simply cannot wait!

Hellboy 2 - The sequel to the THIRD BEST COMIC BOOK MOVIE EVER is gonna happen.  I think all the original cast that survived HB1 is returning.  Should be some huge monster-ass-kicking fun.

V for Vendetta - Coming out this fall.  Based on the classic Alan Moore series.  Stars Portman and Mr. Smith.  I just read the graphic novel last week after watching the trailer, and if done right this movie will be disturbing and awesome.  We shall see.

I think that about wraps it up.

HA! She finally admitted it? Dude! I can think of some people over there who must feel a little...eh, less masculine there now.

Yeah... especially after ShaakTi disclosed that he... uh... prefers the company of men (not that there's anything wrong with that).
