Loved the end of last night's episode.
Between Obi Wan's "would have left the order" and Obi Wan saying "I'm not a cold blooded killer" and then Anakin's light saber through the chest a second later. Pretty interesting stuff.

Just wanted to throw some Documentary love in here. "Food, Inc." was fascinating (yes biased, but interesting non the less). And "The Cove" looks very good too.

I own every best picture winner all the way back to the beginning in 1927. I'd love to see Up or District 9 win. Those being the only two I've seen on the list. I will own Basterds one way or the other eventually.
Cartoons and Sci-fi typically don't win Best Picture.
I'm sure they won't win, but it's a start if they make the list. And more importantly they are deserving and made the list.

When I was at Twin's Fest (it's a big card show/ getting ready for the start of the baseball season) at the Metrodome they had a booth where a custom paint company was set up and they had a goalie mask with a Cloen Trooper helmet on one side and a Stormtrooper helmet on the other side.

As a carded collector I'd prefer the name over a no name, but in this case I dodn't care as much since I have a Veers already and like the idea if it's in homage to the original ATAT Commander.

« on: January 31, 2010, 10:20 AM »I don't know if its just because I read about Karen Traviss's vision of Mandalorian culture first, but I'm not enjoying the Clone Wars version. Of the two the Clone Wars feels more wonky and less authentic.
I think you hit right on why I didn't really like these Mandos.
And I thought that black lightsaber thing was going to be a Beskar sword from the metal they mine, not some weird ass lightsaber
