You know What I noticed?? It said the event where His parents died was in '81, so 17 years later would be 1998 so this last book took place in 98 :-\  Kinda odd, Since the date had not been mentioned yet, you might think that she would have tried to tie the story in to end in the year 2007 and that his parents died in 90. Oh well.

And to all of you who came up with the horcrux theory, thank you. I got much joy gloating over my sister when she refused to believe me, and it turned out to be true.  ;)

JKR has been detailing dates on her website for quite some time.  Harry was born in 1980, so this book took place in 1997 to 1998 and the epilogue actually takes place in our future since it was 19 years later I believe.  The books even show the year 2000 hype by Nimbus labeling their "newest" broom the 2000 when it came out in 1990.

There are just so many idiots on that board.  I can't believe so many people are defending this guy.  Saying things like "well, he didn't scalp on this board, so its ok".  Scalping is scalping, it does not matter if you go straight to ebay or try doing it on a collectors board.  The jerk even has an ebay store.  He is scalping over a dozen animated Fett maquettes as well.  All his ebay prices are inflated.  This guy is a professional scalper hands down.

I'm glad he is getting screwed on the deal, but I guess he got one of five sold.  You even have people on the site saying he didn't violate the collect to collect rules since the item is technically "sold out" after the convention where it was an exclusive.  However, there is that little thing called the GG raffle.  Therefore, it is available after the convention...and also in the upcoming raffle for the five packs.  He deserves to be banned for his own stupidity in my opinion.  It is one thing to scalp five busts (it is scalping no matter what anyone says...all this silly "market value" crap aside), but another to out your own self for doing and then to give someone else a problem about getting extra busts, especially when that person helped out the collecting community by offering them up for one to one trades.

I think people are going too far with this female President thing...we have to have two African American Presidents first because of the Palmer brothers.  It means that Obama is going to win in '08...I wonder if he has a younger brother...   ;)

Hmmm.  I wonder who would sell a set like that?  I can see the lure of the cash but that's an AWESOME piece for doing nothing but volunteering some time.

   E...

It is sold already.  I wonder if whoever had it, sold it to the ebay seller first.  I can't imagine a panel participant would sell their own set.  efranks, where did you get the quote in your signature?  I don't recall ever saying that.

Wow, they sprung this preorder on us quickly.  I was just thinking yesterday with the Mechno chair, Leia Boushh and Asajj all currently shipping on shipping soon, that we were getting low on preorders again.

So when do we find out that Voldemort was really Harry's father and Hermione was his sister?

Actually, it turns out that Harry and Voldemort were related, albeit distantly.  If you believe Marvolo Gaunt.  Gaunt claimed that the Gaunt's were decended from the family who made the Deathly Hallows, and Dumbledore said that Harry was decended from the youngest brother who made the cloak.

A pretty big loose end, unless I missed something in my reading, is that we never found out who else was at the Potter's house or in Godric's Hollow when Voldemort tried to kill Harry.

Of course, there was also Andrew Johnson and Lyndon Johnson, his son; and perhaps the most famous presidential family of all--the Roosevelts--from which two of our best presidents came:  Teddy and his little boy, Frank.

I hope you are joking...Andrew Johnson was dead before LBJ was born and Teddy and FDR were only distant cousins.  FDR did marry Teddy's niece (who was also his distant cousin).

For an extra fee, they will double box the figures for you.  That is what I did after I got a crushed box on my Anakin figure.  They will send you a new box, but it comes unfolded.  You have to put the new box inside the packing box to get it to keep its shape.

670
Hmm, I wonder why they chose another Luke for the next figure.

Yes, we all know that GG has sucked in the past year or so, but I am tired of hearing this silly "east coast" theory in regards to winners.  I live in Delaware and have only won 1 of 7 raffles that I have entered.  Another bit of knowledge...the majority of the population lives on either the east or west coast.  That can help account for the numbers.  At the present time, we do not know the number of members or their locations, so to say only the north eastern states can win the raffle is a little ridiculous.  Why "rig" the raffle for those people?

So, is this guy upset because Hasbro has made a Darth Malak figure?  It is clear the person is upset at Hasbro, but there is no reason to why the person is upset.  They seem to think Hasbro's one and only purpose is destroy their life.

MR has been given permission to make both the Ep. I FX Kenboi and a FX Dooku.  If they can get it finished by years end, then we will get them.  I have seen picks of a Dooku prototype as well as the Kenobi one.

Should be fun today about 12 PM EST.  I wonder if that third server will make a big difference.

I am happy with my copy that I believe is labeled 1,000,000 or so.  I wouldn't pay that much for something is just #6 and really not that rare.
