Hmmm...

I took the Dagobah Luke photo and flipped it upside down in photshop.

Maybe one of the JD dudes could post an image like that fora ll to comment on....

The hair definately looks wierd standing upright.  Also, I noticed that the picture, when turned upside down it gives Luke a "Hulk Smash!" look.  It's actually pretty funny...

I just about wet myself this morning!

Me too.

Very exciting time for OT fans.

I was happy to see that most of use were on the right track, that the OTC and the "vintage" issues are two separate lines!

The EE case report also helps solidify a UK news report (from theprivateunivers.com via Stan at rebelscum) about the X-Wing Luke, Cantina Han, Vader being shown on the back of the Falcon box.

Where the heck is the over-exaggerated stance on Lobot?

Seriously, what a great way to start Toy Fair!

I love those figures!!!

Hi All,

I was just looking at the carded pictures of this wave at SirSteves...

http://sirstevesguide.com/news/uploads/29976/bossk_cbk.jpg

I noticed that on the back of Bossk's card, they've got a picture of J'Quille, but it says "Tanus Spijek"?

Think they'll fix the error?   If so, more goodies for you variant/error hunters to go for!  Been a while since I've seen a big error on a cardback...

Nataku

ps
04-17 = Dengar
04-18 = Bossk
04-16 = Ozzel
for those keeping track numerically...

Hasbro releases a tidbit to get us worked up prior to Toy Fair this weekend:

"STAR WARS ORIGINAL TRILOGY COLLECTION

Ever since the classic Star Wars trilogy burst onto the screen in 1977, a new generation of movie and toy fans has continued the tradition of celebrating the past, present and future of the Star Wars universe. In 2004, Hasbro builds on the tradition with the Original Trilogy Collection of authentically detailed figures, vehicles and lightsabers, this time celebrating Lucasfilm's fall release of the Star Wars Trilogy on DVD.

Hasbro's Original Trilogy Collection will recapture the magic of the first three Star Wars film releases from the late 70s and early 80s for a new generation of kids, bringing back the memorable black-and-silver retro package look and collectible new versions of the earliest Star Wars toys.

In addition to updated action figure versions of the most favorite characters from the first three films, Hasbro is bringing back one of the most legendary spaceships in the galaxy -- available for the first time since 1996 will be the Millennium Falcon. (Approx. $4.99-59.99; Available in fall)"

Galactic Hunter has carded images of this wave up...

DANG!

Yavin just hit and now these show up... that means the Star Destroyer wave can't be that far away either!  18 basic figures through the first 3 months of 2004?  Plus 8 Cartoon and 12-20 repackage figures?   Plus 5 ultra figures?

That's a LOT of new figures very quickly!

Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: Wave 2 - Animated Clone Wars Figures
« on: February 5, 2004, 02:37 PM »
850030004 Animated Figures Wave 2 This is not correct. I took this number to my Target this morning and the stocker told me this is the Hardware Department number.

Yeah, that number is NOT the Target DPCI number for the animated figures, but it is the markings on that particular case.  Keep in mind that the galactichunter report came from a foriegn e-tailer who probably got them from the factory and had nothing to do with Target.

The numbers listed next to each figure in that post are the UPC item number for each figure.

Anyway, I can confirm today that there are in fact TWO different case assortments shipping.

I saw them both today at a Target store in MN.  The first is in fact the blended case, but there is also another case with an even 3 of each figure from wave 2.

So, to clear it up, your Target may get either of the cases, but both of the assortments DO exist.

Great Googoly Moogoly, they're out!

GAH!

Man, that makes 15 new basic figures in the first two months of 04, along with 5 deluxe figures!

I only have half the Jabba's Palace basic wave, now I gotta worry about another wave and the Ultra wave 2 too?

Whew!

I wasn't very excited for Toy Fair, because I figured that we had already seen most of what they were gonna show, but with only 6 figures yet to come (Endor wave and BH wave) I guess Toy Fair will have more to reveal than I originally thought!

Not as cold

Dang.

We went from -15o F overnight temps with -9o F daytime temps during this week to 10deg F and SNOW this weekend.

Now, they are predicting snow all weekend, then next week we're heading back down to -15o F daytime high temps next week!

To all those NHL fans from out of state coming to town for the All-Star Game... Welcome to Minnesota!  This is the weather hockey was meant to be played in.  All you Phoenix posers can go back to your new ice rink in the desert.

At least with the cold weather the St. Paul Ice Palace won't melt any time soon!

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Frustrations of displaying your figures...

This wasnt the figures falling over, it was the entire shelf. I dont think any sort of stand (aside from anti-gravity ones) could keep them from tipping in this case.

Kevin

Uh... sorry to confuse you, but I was responding to the second and third posts, which specifically mentioned figures falling over:

"and rarely do any figures fall over because the shelves are extremely sturdy."
by CHEWIE

"Figures like ML or LOTR fell over all the damn time. Still do. "
by HMI

I wasn't responding to the shelf-crashing issue...
Sorry for the confusion.

That's why I started buying Real Stands for most figures.
(and why I loved the CT chips).

Now, I don't get nearly the domino effect I used to when someone fell over!  It's usually just one figure that gets knocked over.

Figure Stands.  They're a good thing.

Thanks to my computer bing in a room without a TV and my current addiction to said game, I've really cut down on TV...

Sunday: Football (or baseball), Simpsons, and Alias
Monday: MNF and/or Las Vegas
Tuesday: none
Wednesday: West Wing, South Park
Thursday: ER (but not since they killed Dr. Romano)
Friday: none (sometimes JAG)
Saturday: none

Uh... not many shows in there at all.

Why I remember walking to school in -80 K with howling winds, 8 foot snowdrifts and uphill.  Both ways. :-*

-80 K ???

Dang THAT's cold.  You're made up of some pretty resilient molecules Morgbug...  I usually stop moving all together at 0 Kelvin.
