Seller mentions that this is not a custom. ::)
Spirit of Boba Fett (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3124573957&category=2476)

;)awesome, i need one of those! ;D :o :P
-
When was this released and for what reason?
Sounds fishy and like my mysterious 'silver' Boba Fett figure...
-
It is a custom, and the seller is a mindless simian to think real SW collectors are that gullable.
-
Dale, did you happen to shoot the seller a question about the validity of this figure? You usually do that, so just curious.
-
Notice that the auction was ended by the seller. ;)
-
i see dsj handled it (http://users.pandora.be/IMS/smileys/punch.gif)

JF: isn't that something you would want? ;)

Solid (or even multiple part) "spirit of" figures aren't hard to create actually, so generally if you see one you've NOT heard of it's probably a big ole fakey.
There's resins that, without even tinting, will turn out that hazey blue-green of holo/spirit figures... Some of them are pretty cheap resins too, and would result in some pretty cheap figures.
But that was one Bogus auction for sure.

Looks creative, but VERY fake.

Check this out...

Looks like a custom job and the photos must have been fuzzed up in Adobe Photoshop. No one can be that bad at taking photos; can they? I mean the focus is something that we all know how to operate and that it is important when taking a picture to make it clear with the focus mechanism.
Anyway, thought this was interesting at least. Any thoughts?
-
Yuck, thats awfull. If your going to have a rare variant/error, atleast take good pictures & lots of them. Looks home made to me.

I think I would have to say that it's a...
SCAM!!!
There's no what that would have happened. What figure is actually in there? If this guy claims he knows nothing of Star Wars, then how does he actually know that the included figure ISN'T a Jawa? Total scam, and if it's re-listed stay the hell away from this guy. And to think he has all that positive feedback too.
And yes, there are people out there who don't know how to use a camera (or they're too cheap to buy one that's decent in quality).
-
He also states that the guy who bought it got it in 1992-93. Didn't these come out in 95-96?
-
Didn't the modern line start in 1995 which means the guy who this guy bought it from had it for 2 to 3 years before the line was started. ??? As far as the picture it sucks and doesn't show anything but the small protion where the figure is, not the side of the box which was opened. Either he got scamed by someone and not knowing listed it thinking it was rare or he is a scam artist who wants to scam star wars fans.

It looks like an Ugnaught in there to me.
When did the Ugnaught come out in relation to the Ronto? If they were pretty far apart, it would be impossible anyway.
