Seriously, that is one ugly mug.  I didn't know Lady Jaye was a lazy eyed monkey woman.

BSG Does Letterman

Funny stuff for sure. :)

That's hilarious - thanks for posting the linky.  I hope #6 is true and #5 is very very false.  :P

I was not a huge fan of the Micheal episode last night, but glad they got around to explaining his back story.  Nice to see Libby back as well - I'm still hoping to get a backstory on why she was locked up with Hugo.  Aaron was confirmed as one of the six at the end of the show, so at least that arguement is settled.  Bummed to see Danielle and Carl taken out like that - they deserved a better ending, though you never know who's truly dead at this point (i.e. Locke).

When is the next new episode?  Five weeks away?   :-\

The Bullpen / Marvel Legends
« on: March 21, 2008, 12:33 PM »
MarvelousNews has pics up of the SDCC exclusive Shanna/Kazar/Sabu set from Marvel Legends.

On a side note, does anyone know everything (in the 6" scale anyways) that will be out for the Iron Man movie stuff this weekend?  I'm only planning on picking up a Mark 3 version for my Legends display, but I was curious what exclusives there were.  From memory, I thought it was:

Target (Silver Centurion repaint of Mark 3)
Wal-Mart (War Machine repaint)

Is that right, or does TRU have something as well?  I'm curious how "big of deal" the Iron Man launch will be.  I'm looking forward to having a nice, shiny Iron Man in the collection though (I just have the Face Off version).

MUST GET SHANNA.  Wow, nice job for a change!  Kazar might make a nice Heman custom as well.  Not sure of the Exclusives for IM, but both sound cool.  Hopefully they will be available in ample supply.

Are these supposed to be released soon? or was it May?

In stores April 15th.  But to pick Tax day as a street date?  Strange.

Actually, that's a good time to pick, since a lot of people will know the amount of their tax return by that date.  A lot of industries see a spike in sales around this time, so makes sense to advertise/release your new prods in conjunction with tax returns.  ;)

Not sure if this has been posted 100% legit and can be used over and over again until October.  Hope it helps  ;).

Has this thing worked for anybody?  Wanted to get an evo pack and figured might as wel buy a Joe with this which almost be a dollar and change for him if it works.

This has been tested by several of us in Minnesota and Wisconsin - don't think anyone has had it refused yet.  I've probably used it 6 or 7 times now and the cashiers haven't batted an eye.  ;D

It doesn't suck to me. It's not like I was going to put it in a walking mode anyhow. So you can either make it stand tall with the third leg undeployed wrapped up underneath or stand short with the third leg deployed for stability when firing the main canon. Makes sense to me. I'm not at all disappointed with it's articulation (or lack thereof).

I don't know where to begin...

Now that's funny!   ;D  ;D  ;D

Super prompt payment from Jesse for some figs.  Great guy to deal with - I would HIGHLY recommend trading with him if you are lucky enough to have the opportunity.  Thanks Jesse!

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Ewan McGregor hates Star Wars
« on: March 18, 2008, 08:16 AM »
Maybe Ewan doesn't hate Star Wars.  A little video up on YouTube from an interview on BBC, where he speaks pretty positively of the experience.  I suppose it depends on the day.

In contrast to the other actors, I think ewan is more of the rare "I'm going to do a great job of acting regardless of the directing" type of actor, alla Johnny Depp or maybe even early Harrison Ford.  I'm sure like any job, there are things he liked and things he didn't like - I bet most of us would have contrasting opinons about our jobs depending on the day we were asked.  :-\

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Hayden Christensen hates Star Wars, too
« on: March 18, 2008, 08:14 AM »
To be fair, I think the special effects and storylines in Star Wars are great.  However, the acting is somewhat lacking in the prequels and I would chalk that up to poor directing.  Lucas is a great storyteller and visionary, but he isn't without flaws.  I think the movies would have turned out better if someone else had directed.

All that being said, its poor taste to rip someone or soemthing that helped build your career.  I would argue that even Natalie Portman benefitted from her work on Star Wars.

I read differently. Here

I thought the ratings were pretty strong from Entertainment Weekly.  I think it will be back.
