OK, so it's about 1:30 am on April 2 and you're home from Midnight Madness with anyhwhere from 25-40 new figures. Who do you open first?
I'm not too sure how I'll go about this. For kicks I opened the E1 figures aphabetically. For Saga, I opened the cruddy ones first, saving the better ones for last.
Maybe I'll do it by height this time!

I'm going to open them numerically, starting with III-1 Anakin Skywalker. I'll work my way up from there...

I've already got 17 figures opened... so I'm gonna say the army-builders... every type of Clone I can get my hands on.

Probably the clone troopers first. Commander if I have him, then which ever one I feel like. I'll give my son r2 and 3p0 since those are his favorites. If I get the deluxe anakin, that'll probably be next. Then chewie, tarful, then I guess the vader saber.

I've got 10 figures open so far. I think the first one I opened was Anakin - Slashing Attack. One of my favorites thus far.

I like that slashing Anakin a lot too - very cool for an action feature.

Beyond what I have now, I think it will probably be the Unleashed figures or possibly the ARC-170 if it's out.

I forgot, I'll open Grevious too. I'll open them ALL , just in whatever order strikes my fancy.

Good question. Last time I opened them five a day over several days to stretch out the fun as much as possible. I left the best for last (Yoda, Anakin, Jedi). This time I don't know. I'm still figuring out just what I'm buying. Maybe Padme or Dooku, since I'm looking forward to them a lot.

I've mostly opened Collection 1 figures (to great disappointment), and kept the C2 ones I have carded, with the exception of Agen. It'll be a great joy to crack open any of the (way) better C2 figures when I get home. Any will do! :)
I'm also thinking the time is coming to army-build Royal Guards.

Probably the only ones I plan on buying on April 2nd-- Clones, Anakin, Obi-Wan, Padme, Agen Kolar, and Unleashed Grevious.
I don't buy everything right away- I usually spread the purchases out over a few weeks to heighten that rush of finding and buying new Star Wars figures.

But maybe, the first one I open will be C-3PO, since he's on Amazon right here (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0006TZD1Q/galactichunte-20/103-1311313-5297465) now.

Either the Clones, or Dooku, but it doesn't really matter to me. :P

It will probably be the three Unleashed figures (Grievous first) that fall victim to my shaky "Oh my goodness, new SW toys!" hands immediately after I get home around 1 AM on the 2nd. Then, the pillow will be my next victim as I am getting a little too old to handle being up so late. Plus my arthritis will probably be killing me. ;D
The next morning, I'll probably open what I've picked up in numerical order when I get back from driving around to the other retailers in the area. If it's anything like the Saga 2002 onslaught, I'll be able to say out loud how the figures get progressively better the higher their numbers get, at least as far as Collection 1 goes.

Picked up a Clonetrooper today... paid a little extra, but I really like this figure. Much better than people have been acting.

Opened up my Agen Kolar and gave him the correct color blade on his lightsaber.

I think I'll be opening the Deluxe Anakin when I get home first. However, since I will be going directly from MM at TRU to waiting in line at Target, I will want to open SOMETHING to occupy my time while waiting for the Target to open - since I'll be worried about losing accessories, it will probably be something with very few - so to that end, I'll probably either open up a couple of the new Jedi like Aalya Secura and Ki-Adi Mundi.

I'm not sure who/what I'll open first. I might do things in order, like Jeff mentioned above, or I might go straight for the wookiees, clones, and Jedi :). I've only done the "big buying spree" thing one other time, for AOTC, and it was just kind of fun having all of that stuff at once, sitting around you in a room. I couldn't imagine having that type of feeling as a kid, just being surrounded by all sorts of Star Wars goodies, not knowing where to start ;).

The way my monetary situation looks right now, on 4/2 I won't buy more than a half-dozen figures and maybe one or two deluxe. So "not knowing where to begin" won't be a huge issue.
In a way it's too bad I can't start off with a spectacular blaze of sound and fury like I'd hoped -- but on the other hand it prolongs the fun to acquire them in bits and pieces through the spring and summer ... and fall ... and winter ... and following spring ... and summer ... and then on 75% off clearance ... and so on.

I'm pretty limited funds wise too, so I'll be limited to - depending on the whole exclusive nightmare - something like 12 figures. That's fine, because there'll be plenty to buy throughout the summer, and plus those clearances...

That's a good question, Mike!
I guess I'll do what I did for Episode 2, and just pick them randomly out of the bags. Whatever happens to be in my hand is what I'll open. Though I may save the ones I'm really excited about for last (Clone Commander, Clone Pilot, etc).
