Saga Collection '06 / Re: Target Exclusive Rogue Two Snowspeeder
« on: October 5, 2006, 10:06 AM »
Has anyone been actually finding these on the shelves, or just by using the DCPI #?

Yes, some Targets started the season reset over last weekend.   We had a few brand new or remodeled Target stores open locally yesterday and they debuted with the new planogram - the 3 new non-exclusive Battle Packs, Kit's Starfighter, and the Snowspeeder were all stocked on the shelves.

Been a few reports of other Target stores across the country re-setting the toy aisle or stashing the Snowspeeders on the "overlfow" area on the very top shelf area.

They didn't forget about the Be@rs, he just didn't want the info on them:

No Bearbricks of 400%, but everything else Star Wars Kubrick.

Sideshow has posted a nice Q&A on these...

- The "Strike Force" Bundle should go on sale tomorrow between 6-7PM Pacific (9-10PM Eastern).
- No exclusive edition is planned...
- But, 2 of the figures (Rebel Sergeant and Nik Sant) are ONLY available via Sideshow's website.
- Individual figures are $60, the bundle is $180 (the only savings is in the lower shipping cost)

Head on over to Sideshow for the whole thing.   ;)

In addition to the convention exclusive coin rumors, we've also got rumors of UGH gold coins next year too and that could be what Hasbro means by "promo" coins...

POTF Cards would be pretty cool though if they could swing it.  As lame as it is to say it, I'd be all over a VOTC-quality Sim Aloo or VOTC quality YakFace.   :-[

No one else wants to try their hand at mapping out the outcome of the playoffs?

AL Division Series
Yankees over Tigers in 3 games
Twins over Athletics in 5 games

NL Division Series
Cardinals over Padres in 4 games
Mets over Dodgers in 5 games

ALCS
Yankees over Twins in 7 games

NLCS
Cardinals over Mets in 6 games  (I might have stuck with the Mets, but if El Duque is hurt now too... ?)

World Series
Yankees over Cardinals in 6 games

As much as it pains me to pick the Yankees, I think it's just too much offense for Bonser/Silva/Garza to handle (especially after seeing Jeter et al light up Bonderman last night).  Santana should be fine for 2 starts and Radke can manage a win, but that's probably only enough to force a game 7 (and probably some wishful thinking as well).   :-\

Still going to root for my squad to the bitter end though...  ;)

Our top 3 pitchers are Wang (19 wins) Mussina (15 wins) and Johnson (17 wins).

It really says something about a team's offense when your staff looks like this...

Wang (19 wins) - 3.63 ERA
Johnson (17 wins) - 5.00 ERA
Mussina (15 wins) - 3.51 ERA

- Wang's ERA ia almost a whole run higher than Santana, the other 19 game winner.
- Randy Johnson: 5.00 ERA and still won 17 games?  Guys with 5+ ERA usually end up with only 10-12 wins.

Santana was fine, this was the problem...

0-for-3 = Mauer
1-for-4 = Cuddyer (and that hit was in the 9th)
0-for-4 = Morneau
0-for-4 = Hunter

That's not what you like to see from your 3-4-5-6 hitters.   :'(

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: Order 66 2-packs
« on: October 3, 2006, 10:51 AM »
We don't really know yet if they are Target exclusives or not.  The Battle Packs most likely are (since they have unique DPCIs separate from the main DPCI #), but these may well be available everywhere.

Hopefully we get a bit more info soon because these could either be very cool w/1-2 new figures (Stass/Neyo, Yoda/Gree) or they could suck with 2-repacks (Anakin/Appo, Obi-Wan/Cody, Ki-Adi/Bacara, Aayla/Bly).   :-\

Explain to me how IG-88 will be any different than his POTJ release.

- Die-Cast?
- ball jointed knees/shoulders?
- better waist joint

There are a bunch of possibilities as to how they could improve IG-88...
