Kubricks / Re: Kubricks and Minimates

They're so small, it seems like wanting "them all" is even more tempting. :P

That's what's hooking me; the size. I'm not even a Marvel fan and I'm collecting them, variants and all. Between this line and AA's upcoming DC Comics "C3" sets, it's Mego all over again!

Saw these at the local TRU...why would Mattel want to change the scale???  Makes no sense

It's not Mattel, it's Bandai. They're doing their own thing.

As for scale, the only one that looks way off compared to Mattel's 4.75" scale figures is Cyborg. He's way too small for the small scale line and far too big for Justice League figures. I'm pretty happy with my Robin, though.

Anyone know if they created a Slade figure?

Yes, Slade is on the way. Check out the latest Toyfare magazine for a pic.

Sarah Michelle Gellar.

I'm not saying she's ugly, I'm just saying I don't think she's "hot." I'd have to throw Alicia Silverstone into that same category.

Meaning they're using names and indicia that are the intellectual property of Lucasfilm, Ltd. Not only that, but they're using it on material from which they're profiting. That's a copyright infringement and a big no-no.

Aspirin. And I don't even like taking that.

I had some serious pain meds for when I broke my leg in three places a few years ago (the kind of meds pharmacies won't refill on weekends because they're considered "party drugs" :o ), but I didn't like taking them. I preferred to know how I was really doing rather than feeling no pain and causing even more injury.

Anyone need a bottle?  8)

"and goodbye.

My time here has come to an end. This post is to thank all of those who have made my stay here so enjoyable. Thanks also to those who have put up wih my antics -- Chris Berry, I'm sorry for posting a picture of my naked ass.

You all have a wonderful thing going here. I wish you all the best and perhaps I shall one day return in some other form.

Kindest regards,

 :) "

Damn. I'd hoped smileyfaceguy had found a new home here.

I feel like a dirty old man, but I knew this little lady would be stunning when I first saw her years ago. (I'm glad I'm not her father.)

I had thought WB would have learned their lesson with Birds of Prey. You just can't take Batman out his own mythos.

I've yet to read one positive thing about this "Catwoman." It not only ignores the comic book character it's based on, it ignores the entire legend. WB put out some marketing info last year that read:

- This is not your older brother's Catwoman.
- She is a departure from the familiar DC Comics Catwoman.
- Forget Batman.
- Forget Gotham City.
- Forget heist pictures and cat burglars.
- This is the Catwoman of the ages, the Catwoman of legends.
- This Catwoman is an original.

They also promoted the property with the line "a nocturnal hero doesn't mean a dark world:"

- A futuristic city.
- A place where you'd like to live.
- A landscape of chrome and bright colors.

Forget Gotham City indeed. And like the latest model automobile, they listed "Patience's New Options:"

- Enhanced night vision.
- Catlike grace and agility.
- Ability to land on her feet.
- Stalking instincts.
- Stealth-like maneuverability.
- Spring-loaded leaps.
- Craving for fish, cream and revenge.

Sorry, but if it doesn't have anything to do with Batman, why bother calling it "Catwoman?"

Her origin is so similar to The Crow they'd be better off calling it "Copycatwoman."  ::)

If Batgirl doesn't qualify, how 'bout Starship Troopers or Star Trek: Nemesis?

What you don't notice is that whenever evil is present in the room my scar begins to tickle, not unlike a young scallywag from Jolly Old England

No no no, that's Harry's scar, not hairy scar.  ::)

(And it's probably just gas, not "evil.")
