As revealed on the Disney Parks Blog today (https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2016/09/gorogue-with-rogue-one-merchandise-coming-to-disney-parks-on-september-30/), a new Droid Factory set is being released on September 30. It's a 4-pack featuring droids from the movie: C2-B5, R2-BHD, R3-M2, and R5-SK1.

IIRC, Phruby isn't able to help us out with these anymore, so I guess it's time to download the Disney Parks app or wait for someone else to make a trip to Disneyland/world. :P

The last set was really enjoyable... Good unique decos, and a good price in this day and age. Wish you could buy all the Disney Droid pieces in packs of 4, actually.
Anyway, this one's as good... Besides that R5 just basically being R5-D4, which kinda blows, I'm excited to pick this one up, and I'll find a use for R5 I'm sure. Maybe he's the tan 2000's Ford Taurus of his generation of droid and everywhere.
I'm hoping this set will be easy to pick up too... The last one was, but with Park stuff you never seem to know.

What is the backstory on these guys? Are they OT, PT, Clone Wars, etc?

They're all from Rogue One, so OT era. I want to say C2-B5 is an important character in the movie, but I've been avoiding spoilers and am too lazy to double check.

This is a very nice option if you don't want to plunk down $300 for the AT-ACT and the pack-in figures. I also have to wonder if the back panels on this R5 unit will be red or white.

Watch for a joke in the film. THAT IS R5-D4, not only that, he's the one that had the back up copy of the Death Star plans. (There's a convoluted reason he wound up on Tatooine.)
R2-D2 knew this and sabotaged him....to protect the secret or just a desire to hog all the glory.

I swung into a Disney store at my local mall. I asked the woman if this would be available on the app. She wasn't 100% certain but said it may take a full day before it shows after the park release. That seems to be what happened with r2 B00. So there may be hope!

Hoping the app gets em cuz there's some coupon thing my friends have figured out. We're doing a bulk order hopefully. :-X I don't have, nor can get the app, so I don't even know what's going on.
I just know I want that droid set.

I'd be game for one as well Paul. If you don't find them, I'm going to DW in a few weeks and might have a shot at picking them up for people. I'll try to check in periodically with this thread for a count on what's needed.

Thanks to my friends who go to WDW all the time, I got two of this set for $48. :) Hell of a discount! Can't wait to get them in the mix. They all look great and R3s are my fav so I'm glad to see a new one in there.

I got an email saying that my Disney delivery will be delayed because of hurricane Matthew. Anyone else get that?

These things are shipped out of Disney World. It could take a little while to get them.

The tracking on mine is last noted as being in Jacksonville, which is probably a little worse than Orlando. The note says:
"Recent weather has caused delivery delays. Recovery efforts are under way to deliver your package as soon as possible. / We’re working to deliver your package as soon as possible."
Delays are fine, but 'recovery efforts' got my attention.

What do you need an AT-ACT driver for without the vehicle? That would be like making a 6-inch AT-AT driver with no chance of a 6-inch scale AT-AT being made. Ridonkulous!

Jyn is a repaint of wave 2 figure (dirty deco). There is a rumor that AT-ACT Driver will be available as a basic carded figure too.

Okay thanks... I mean, I'm going to want that repaint, but it's not as bad as it being a completely unique figure.

Iirc it's basically r5d4s back panels done correctly. I think.
