Everyday I watch the news at night and sometime I get annoyed with them and here why...because they give out infomation ON everything!
Here a good example.
On tonight news, the media was talking about a thief can break into a car without setting the alarm off. What did the media do? They explained everything what the theif did...taking a simple item such as spark plug and crack the window.
that is just great. Suppose someone saw that and use that idea that the thief did, now there would be more thiefs.
and here another good example.
about a week after the war on Iraq, the media goes through every single details on what the military are planning to do. They even went through every details on what weapons they will be using, how does the weapon works, what the weakness/advantage about it, where they will use it.
This is just great, suppose a terrorist spy was to watch the news, gets all the infomation and tell on their country what will happen.
IMO, I think the media are no help at all because they just give out details when a crime is commited, or what somebody going to do.
So does anyone agree with me? Or nay?

Yeah, and the worder why they can't catch those 2 fig-eating cowards. The spark plug techinque is an old one. You can also fry a car alarm with a pair of jumper cables and hooking it up to a car battery, or so I've heard. ;D ;) :)

Sad to say, but most of that info is well known to the people who want to know it already. Those reports are just illustrating knowledge that's already out there.
You could find out most of the info you cited just by running a google search. Car thiefs already know what to do. The smart ones figure things out, while the dumb ones get caught and go to jail. As for the military's weapons and capabilities...just find a series of books by a company called Jane's. They have information about the armed forces of most major countries. Again, not new info.
As for the media reporting on the war...you're way off base. The media outlets who had reporters embedded with troops had clear guidelines that they had to adhere to. And they did. One of the only instances of a violation of the rules of embedment was a report by Geraldo Rivera. He actually gave out his unit's position, which is a clear violation of the rules. He was then sent back to Kuwait from his unit, and now Fox reporter was allowed to take his place.

I at first have the same feeling that you have Master Chief but I figure that most criminals already know about these tricks and in the case of the military tech. you can get some of that information anywhere by yourself (Air Shows, Internet, THe Armed Forces and so on). One of the things which made me mad was when the supposed "Massive Air Drop" plans were lecked out by someone and all of the news reproted on it.
I feel that the news has got to report the stories but they also have to remember that what they may report could cause problems.
And I have to agree with Cory on that. I don't want this board to be run down like RS.

If I were refering to an entire race then it would be a racial slur, but it's hardly that when refering to Osama and Sadam

Since your so sympathetic to the terrorist, I'm willing to pay for your airfare to Iraq. :) One way only of course. I assure you that I'm the most unrasict person you will ever chat with.

Dude, try barking up another tree. I know far too many people who were directly affected by the events of September 11th. Including a firefighter who was in the Trade Center when it came down. Miraculously, he survived.
On the subject of racism, I believe in absolutes. Meaning don't even assign racist slurs to the most evil of people. And if you're willing to let the racial slurs fly with conditions, one can only imagine what your regular thought processes are. I made a judgement call, and I still think it's uncool to use racial slurs. Deal.

Calling someone out in the JediDefender forums is not tollerated. This issue ends right here, right now. The thread is going south as it was a touchy subject to start with. Racial slurs, of any type, towards anyone is not allowed. One more problem in any thread and there will be a more serious consequence. Consider this the final warning.
