You know it's funny that you mention my wifes friends and smugglers, prostitutes, gamblers in the same breath  :)

But on a serious note, thanks.. Yeah that dash pulled me back into customizing, I have always hated the SOTE version and thought that he needed an improvement.. I have no plans on making the outrider at this time, I never owned the Hasbro version, ranking it rather low on my priority list. I have not done this yet but what I would do is drill a small hole in Dash's Hand (right where he would grip the blaster) then shave down the pistols handle until it fit in his hand.

That's a pretty sizable project that you took on. Good for you! Pretty cool looking project over all, yeah it's rough and sloppy in places but who cares, it reeks of star wars.. You did a great job on kit bashing and melding the various pieces together. It is what customizers do...from time to time. Awesome job ;D
The other vehicles look pretty rad too!

wow, I would love to see your vision of a Darth Maul! You have some of the best customs I have ever seen. You are very talented!

More excellent work. How do you go about designing you figures? Are they dictated by convenience of pieces that fit together or do you make the pieces fit to your vision?

Wow, great question.
It really is a combination of both to be completely honest. I usually have a final product in mind, but getting the parts or sacrificing a perfectly good figure for fodder is a tough proposition. Most of my customs are fanfic, I like my customs to both have the ability to fill in as "background extras" but also retain a star wars look and feel to them. I wish that I had the ability to sculpt, mold etc but maybe it is for the best as I have to balance a family, work and other commitments. I am usually up customizing when I can't sleep and everyone else is fast asleep. My vision of star wars defers from the original trilogy (grew up during and it is the "real" "star wars" to me), and the prequels (ep1 was weak IMO, ep2 was weak IMO, ep 3 had its weak moments IMO but more or least made ep1 and ep2 tolerable.
I am not openly found of the boba fett / jango fett / clone / stormtrooper connection, although I recently read that Boba Fett was supposed to be some kind of super commando / stormtrooper so maybe I need to keep an open mind. Sorry to get so off topic there. Thanks for the compliment and allowing me to ramble.

Your doing a great job at hiding those POTF2 parts, I recognize them but you really have done a really excellent job with that.. I like the Mando III the most out of this bunch, which is funny because I am not a fan of the other concept boba helmet, but it really works great with your colour scheme and choice of parts. Your entire mando army is looking very unique....in a good way unique, as in individual!

Incase you missed these a week or 2 ago..

Fanfic soldier with Armour

Another fanfic soldier

I repainted this guy and took away his double lightsaber weapon, the silver was too much..

Here is a small update, I posted these at yakface as well..

First up is Klaw Ripz, a shistavanen hunter / tracker. He is often used by the rebels for his services and has no love for the empire. Klaw is a loner that studies martial arts, weapons training and loves romantic walks on the moonlit beach and can be counted on to slip behind an enemy line and quitely "take them out"

Next up is another wookiee, I have been slowly working my way through my wookiees to add something unique to each of them. I wanted the arms/forearms to be hairier, so I used another ROTS wookiees forearms, hands to achieve this. I had to cut and alter in a few places but I think it looks much better. I like the new mc-snowtrooper blaster and thought that it was a natural fit. The shouder pads are space lego face shields and they hold no prob.. I also added a claw arm band to his arm, was meant to be a necklace but with the hair shoots from his giant melon it didn't look good.

My addition to the yakface challenge.. I hate this guys legs, so I swapped them with good old pote snitkins and repainted him to get a rougher image.

Here is my concept rebel honour guard, I like how this guy ended up, I think that it looks like something that we could have seen a new hope. What do you think?

Thanks Jesse for handling that question for me, to be honest i couldn't remember the toy line anyway so I would not have been much help. Sorry everyone that I couldn't get back to you sooner, my computer was really acting up and I had no internet access, that of course has been rectified. Thank you everyone for your comments BTW...
No the questions etc..
roron corrob
the body armour is from packs of soldiers that I found at a sears liquidation.. They were super cheap and had some great accessorys. Seen here:

Darth_Anton
I will get a group shot of the customs I still own, I have sold some (on craigslist)and traded some with my buddy that owns a toy store.

The troop transport was a lot of fun to make, picked it up realitivly cheap and had full intentions of moding it. I like vehicle customs but they are pretty expensive so I will stick with speeders etc.

Siths Herald
Very similar, yeah I agree that they work very well together.

Thats a really old custom m_p, from almost a year ago. It has long been scrapped and recycled! I did happen to catch a look at your scorch and think that it is very well planned out. Very smart use of a dremel. I had not posted here in approx a year and was viewing my customs at yakface. I would like to branch out again and show some more customs and have then critiqued (as you have done)
Thanks for the comments.

about 200 years ago I made this custom, it was from a generic soldier 6 pack.
