Nice that we're getting a few more figures from Rogue One, although it would have been nice to get something more interesting than white guy engineer Galen Erso.

Oh my God, I cannot believe these madmen actually did it. Rereleases of some of the biggest pegwarmers of the entire 6 inch line! And two of the three new figures are exclusives, to Target, so good luck fighting over the 5000 figure production run.
I mean I'll admit that the new Photoreal faces look GREAT, but I'll wait for the rest of those to join their 2016 brethren at Five Below.
The only exciting thing there are the Pipeline reveals. I wonder if the HasLab project will be something Jabba's Palace related? Maybe a rerelease of Jabba with a throne room diorama, to go with the ROTJ Bib Fortuna? A 6 inch scale Rancor? Both would fit the timeframe for ROTJ's 40th in 2023 too.

I think a part of the saving grace here is the Rogue One Crew will be fan channel releases like the Ghost Crew were last summer. Keeps production numbers down on the rereleases and the figure that was deemed not worthy of a run the first time around. And especially if they have bundle deals like the Rebels figures last summer, they should be able to move the sets easy enough.
I'd imagine the updated K-2SO will be the winner of the group, while Jyn will be the loser. The rest will do fine, and at least Cassian is not the Jedha version.
As for the two Target exclusives, yeah they might as well be GI Joes...

I’m happy about all of these, most of all Bodhi. But yeah, I dread the thought of finding those two Target exclusives.

The Archive wave seems odd to me. Didn’t Hasbro update the deco on the 6” TBS A New Hope Leia for the 40th Anniversary Collection? I also recall that Revan had been re-released before. So those two Archive releases seem more like triple-dipping. The 501st Clone is a solid troop builder, and one of the coolest of the phase 2 clones. And I’m also glad to see Hasbro get ROTS Obi-Wan right this time.
The Rogue One crew? The paint apps are a major improvement. But to only get one actual new figure is disappointing. I hope that there’s a bundle deal for these from GameStop like there was with the Ghost crew.
Merrick and Galen Erso were a surprise. But Target exclusives? Uck. The pipeline reveals were good. Glad to see that Nomad Boba Fett will stand on his own. It was a great depiction of the character in The Mandalorian.
And good call about a Haslab Black Series Rancor! I had originally been thinking of a playset, but a Rancor seems like it would fit the bill better. If it is the case, what do you think could be the stretch goals?

There’s a limit of one of each per customer. Although I don’t see lot of troop building potential here - unless someone is REALLY trying to make all the pilots of Blue Squadron.

I see where the normal (non-Target exclusive) Rogue One figures are labeled as "fan channel". Do we know what stores that includes and excludes?
Will these be in Target and Wal-Mart? I didn't see either of them list these figures today (other than Target listing their exclusives).
I thought Target and Wal-Mart usually carried "fan channel" items as at least online only, and sometimes in store.

ANH 40AC was just before Hasbro started using Photoreal (IIRC the first Photoreal wave was late 2017 with Island Rey, DJ, and Captain Rex), but they did reshape the head for the ANH 40AC figure. The original figure from 2016 was really "fat" and they slimmed it down.

Lol, I was checked out in under a minute and was feeling so pleased with myself, turns out everyone who wanted one could get one for a change. I like it better this way for sure. :)

I'm waiting on both Leia and Revan. I have the original Revan release, and I need to see why it would be worth my while to get the new version. And Leia? I think a markdown is probably imminent. But I did order the ROTS Obi-Wan Kenobi update as well as the 501st Clone Troopers.
I had been hoping for a bundle deal on the Rogue One crew. GameStop had that kind of offering for the photo-real re-releases of the crew of the Ghost. In that case Zeb was the new figure bundled in with the set. But I haven't seen any of the new figures listed on the GameStop site. I had some rewards points on Amazon, so I ordered the Rogue One crew there.

I got an email notice from Target overnight that I had to approve a delay for my preorder of the exclusive Galen Erso and Blue Leader figures, otherwise they’d cancel my preorder. I went ahead and approved. The new ETA is September 16 according to the Target App.

I got the same. When I was trying to approve the delay on my iPhone I could only approve the delay on Galen Erso. I had to log into my Target account from a desktop to approve the delay for General Merrick.

I got the same here. Target's already cancelled figures from another order from that day, so I'm wondering if they'll end up cancelling the whole thing at some point. They're getting to be as bad as Walmart.

I've never had an order cancelled from Target, and hope they never do. On the Vintage side they've pushed out one of my orders probably 15 times without cancelling it. Hopefully this is just a delay in their supply chain and we'll eventually get these.

I wonder if they ordered the solid case assortments for these figures and been notified by Hasbro that they weren't getting them. Seems a bit ominous.
Has anyone had pre-orders for Star Wars items cancelled by Target before?
I pre-ordered from Amazon, and they're still taking pre-orders for early Sept delivery. I'm not feeling so good about this though.

Besides the 2 TVC figures, I got the "approve delay or get cancelled" notice for the 6" General Lando on the same order as the 2 TVC figures, but surprisingly, not on a previous preorder for regular price. I kind of started getting the feeling Target didn't want to honor their Father's Day sale.

I got the email for Erso and Merrick too, plus a separate one advising a delay on their 3 carbonized figures too. I guess this will be par for the course for awhile given the current state of international shipping.

Reports popped up on social media that the Target exclusive Antoc Merrick has been found in Walgreens. You have to wonder just what the hell is going on with these figures. They went up for preorder 11 months ago. They turn up internationally and in Walgreens in the US. WTF???

Something weird must be going on because I saw the Target exclusive TVC Droids card 3PO at Walmart yesterday. And there were at least 10 on the pegs, so it wasn't like someone made a return with a swapped barcode.
I wound up canceling my preorder on the Merrick/Erso due to a variety of personal reasons, but Target was putting holds on my card for these for a few weeks too, which I thought was odd if these aren't ready to ship.

Both Target and Walmart put those periodic holds on cards for preorders. I'm not sure what the interval is for when those holds are placed, but I agree that it's annoying. In the case of Target, if you have a Red Card and use that for a Target preorder you don't really have to worry about that. But I feel for the people who are using a debit card for preorders, because the holds can be problematic.
Whatever the case is with these exclusives, Hasbro owes collectors some answers. We get the whole "state of the world" part of their answers, but at some point it simply comes across as a lazy cop out. The Black Series Antoc Merrick and Galen Erso are pretty plentiful in Canadian TRU stores. And thanks to social media US collectors are well aware of this. These Target preorders went up 11 months ago. Something's gotta give here.

OMG, I got a shipping notification from Target for Galen Erso and General Merrick! I’m not happy about the fact that my trip to Montreal (and it’s TRU locations that had these two in stock) fell through last week, but it’s good to know that these are finally on the way.

Received my Anton Merrick and Galen Erso figures from Target in the mail yesterday. Relieved to scratch those off my list, what, 13 months later? Teeka is on the way too. :)

Mine arrived yesterday as well. It only took then 415 days to fulfill the Merrick / Erso preorders. But who's counting?
Weird to see that Teeka is going to ship soon as well. Curious about the Tibodon station Obi-Wan which is another Target exclusive as well.

I opened mine and his hands are just fine. Sounds like you got a defected one. They are starting to appear in store so you should be able to correct the issue if you so choose.
