The Vintage Collection / Tonnika Sisters coming?
« on: April 25, 2005, 09:18 AM »
http://www.galactichunter.com/

Scroll down and Gh.com seems to believe that the Tonnika Sisters might be coming at some point.  Interesting considering that Hasbro Q & A said no developements on that front.

By the way.  Not sure where this would actuall go?  OTC or ROTS?

It almost sounds like Diamond Comics has an exclusive?  You think?  I do not know why else they would be gushing like that?  Unless it is just to remind everyone that they to sell Star Wars figures.

Revenge of the Sith / Wal-Mart "Early Bird" Exclusive
« on: March 25, 2005, 08:25 AM »
I just thought it would good to start a Wal-Mart exclusive thread.  Apparently they are going to have something for $29.96.  I kind of wonder if it will be a something like the upcoming Battle Packs?

Revenge of the Sith / Battle Packs (5 figure sets)

Some of the figures are ok I suppose.  They are rehashes though.  I would not mind having the Clone Wars Anakin figure.

Somewhat disappointed with these overall.

The Prequel Trilogy / Young Han Solo - Cut from ROTS
« on: March 8, 2005, 11:13 AM »
This was over at the MilleniumFalcon.com

"EPISODE III CUT SCENES: A Helpful Han

March 3 2005

Young Solo was requested by George Lucas for shooting in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. McCaig's costume design was approved by Lucas on the spot. Unlike the Han Solo we know in the Original Trilogy, the Episode III Solo was conceived as a 'slob' by McCaig.

So what was Han Solo's role?

In a conference room on Kashyyyk, Han Solo helped Yoda track down General Greivous. We were told in the script that Han was being raised by Chewbacca."

Wow!  If that was actually true.

Watto's Junk Yard / 2005 Academy Awards
« on: February 28, 2005, 09:21 AM »
Anyone see the show?  I really did not.  Just the hightlights the next day.  However, did anyone see Clint Eastwood's 96 year old mom?  Wow!  She looked in better shape than me and I'm 31.

Watto's Junk Yard / Hyerspace Question
« on: February 14, 2005, 11:51 AM »
I sent my check to renew my subscription to Star Wars Insider last week.  Of course I had to pay for the Hyperspace stuff along with it.  How long does it take for them to send an email for me to get into the Hyperspace stuff?  Just wondering.  Does it take them a couple months or what?

Revenge of the Sith / ROTS must have figures for you?
« on: January 27, 2005, 10:04 AM »
We have seen pictures for at least 32 figures now.   There are a few more from the Deluxe and/or other lines.  So far these are probably going to be must haves for me.

Chewbacca (I actually like the rage action feature)
Grievous Bodyguard
Grievous with 4 sabers
Emperor (Because of the lightsber)
Vader (I doubt I can pass him up)
Dooku (I am sure it will have the spoiler feature)
Bail Organa (I am looking forward to him)
Padme (Gotta get a pregnant Padme figure)
Agen Kolar (I don't have any Eeth Koth figures)
Taful (Looks great and it's a wookie!)
Aayla Secura (looks nicer than Saga one)
Yoda (Kind of debating but will probably get him)
Kenobi #27 (Looks great!)
Anakin #28 (again looks great!)
Luminara (again looks much better than Saga version)

I will most likely get some others but those I am looking forward to the most right now.  15 of 32.

Revenge of the Sith / ROTS Pegwarmers?
« on: December 13, 2004, 11:58 AM »
Now that we have seen over 20 ROTS figures via cardbacks who is going to sit on the shelves the most?  I guess it depends upon case assortments and how overboard the stores order them, but we can take a stab at them anyway.

I will guess that Tion Meddon, Bail Organa, Mon Mothma, Chancellor Palpatine and perhaps Padme will warm the pegs awhile.  Not that those are bad figures but I'm just guessing those are strong possibilities.

Tion looks ok but unless he's got some major action scene I doubt he goes over all that well.

Bail looks good but it's Bail.

Mon Mothma because she's a senator and a female.  Maybe she'll be 1 per case though?

Chancellor because everyone will opt for ugly Palpatine with a lightsaber instead.

Padme because there will be other characters people will want more than her.  I'll buy her because she's a main character.  But I don't know if many will want a pregnant action figure.  Know what I mean?

Original Trilogy Collection / Best and Worst of 2004
« on: December 9, 2004, 04:45 PM »
Just wondering what we think the best and worst figures and vehicles of 2004 were.

Best VOTC:  Boba Fett or Chewbacca or Stormtrooper
Best OTC:  Cloud Car Pilot or Gen Madine or Yoda
Best Saga:  J'Quille or R1-G4 or even Dutch or Bubo

Worst VOTC:  C-3PO of course
Worst OTC:  Bib Fortuna
Worst Saga: I liked most of them but I'll say Holo Luke since everyone whined about the blue paint or whatever.

Best Vehicle:  OTC Slave I (painted it nice and great packaging)
Worst Vehicle:  OTC Tie Fighter (time to update this one from 77 a bit more IMO)

Best 12 inch:  Boba Fett VOTC
Worst 12 inch: Luke VOTC

Watto's Junk Yard / It's a boy for Broem!!!
« on: November 24, 2004, 03:51 PM »
Had to announce the birth of my son Joshua on 11-12 at 10:13pm.  Yeah, a little late on the annoucement but I have been busy with him and holiday/family planning and other household stuff.  He was 6lbs 15oz and 18.5 inches long with blond hair.

Now I have an excuse to open my carded figures.  So the boy can play with them.  Yeah, that's it.  The boy needs play with them :)

Saga '02-'04 / Dumb, dumb, dumb...sigh
« on: May 22, 2004, 11:58 AM »
It's true.  I am dumb.  I had not seen a new wave a SW figures for months in my area.  The last wave I saw was R1-G4.  Of that wave I was only able to find R2-D2(Bartender) and something else.  So, for months I've been checking the aisles of Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart, K's, even the grocery stores for SOMETHING.  Any signs of life.

My only real hope has been Target.  Their pegs are constantly empty or just pegwarmer like the Dignitary, but never full of anything except the CW cartoon figs.  Well lo and behold this A.M. figures were on the Target pegs I had not seen in person.  Dutch, TIE Pilot, Dodonna, Raperrtunie, and Antilles!!!  All figures I've wanted especially DUTCH!

I went and got a small carton to put them in.  I head to the cashier.  I even made friendly small talk to the cashier because I'm happy to finally get some (SW figures that is).  I go to a few other places and get stuff secure in the knowledge I'm bringing home some SW bacon baby!  Yeah!!!

I take out all my figures.  I gasp in horror.  I forgot to stick Dutch in my carton.  Un-$%^&-ing believable!!!!  I am so dumb.  The main figure I wanted out of that bunch and I left Gold Leader hang'in on the peg.  I went back of course.  Guess what?  Yep.  He was gone.  I have never done that before.  AAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

DUMB..DUMB..DUMB..  :)

Watto's Junk Yard / Jeb Bush keeps the coma going.
« on: October 22, 2003, 11:30 AM »
It's been mentioned that some new topics need to be opened over here.  So, how about this one where Jeb Bush the governor of Florida ordered to keep a  comatose girl alive with a food plug.  I don't know much of anything about this at all.  But I did see it on the news briefly last night.
