I have no idea if they were local or not. Personally, I don't even remember who won it. The red r2s went back to, I believe, smartypants. You might give him a pm.
nah they didn't :-\, im also missing a sandy, and got a few helmets and hands in a baggie

What kind of helmets/hands were they? I am missing 2 of my helmets and a few weapons, plus a hand to Plo Koon. Not to worried about the weapons, but the helemts I can't reproduce :-\
Also, I have someone elses protocl droid. It is almost the same exact paint as mine(grey with a black wash)the one I got was the ROTS version. The one I sent was the Saga 2 AOTC version, the one with the battle droid head.

Customs Community and Group Projects / Re: Life after customizing?
« on: November 13, 2005, 02:02 PM »
My personal and work life have been having a hard time getting along lately. I still have the urge to do customs but haven't had the time. I wll start on one and then tell myself that I really should be doing something more constructive like cutting the grass, laundry, cleaning the house and the like and I usually do that instead. Of course, there is the hour or so after I get up in the morning that I spend downing coffe like it is going out of style and staring at this screen ::) I am hoping that after X-mas, things may slow down and I can set aside a few hours a week to do some customs, I have alot on my list to do!

Man, Chewie ain't kidding! We are in for a treat! I really like the majority of your customs! I really like your Duros female pilot, perfect blending of parts! I know there are others that really stand out, but there are just so many of them!

Holy Crap!! I love customized vehicles!! I really like your swoops and that vehicle that you made that is going to appear in the Rykoff series is awesome! What are you using to 'glue' the different parts and pieces together? Ever considered using PVC styrene to build with? It is relatively cheap and works well with plastic model styrene and  is easily glued with either super glue or PVC glue.

Sadly, I don't go to that forum any longer, after all the staff members from JediDefender.com were all banned... just for being staff members. I think they re-instated my account, but I refuse to go there just out of principle at this point.
You gotta to be kidding me!! I didn't know that happened! I know that some of the folks here were banned from the site, but I thought it was for something else and that it was none of my business.  That is really sad that someone could be so shallow over something as frivolous as a set of forums!
Sorry, back to the topic at hand......I should donate one as well, let me see what I could stand to part with :-[

Man, I love this custom! Talk about cannon fodder! I really like your other clones but this one is really cool! Might I suggest  getting some black nylon stockings(maybe the wife/girlfriend has some she could part with) and put some small strips of it, torn up and frayed around the armor to represent what would be left of his body suit underneath the armor.

Everyones looks good! I would like to see their human counterparts though ;D to see how they match up!
Meta, Chewie, Tijuana Jedi Phruby, they all look great!
Meta, I would do as the others suggested and do some drybrushing on your fig.
TJ, lets see a pic with the robe off(that DOES sound dirty!)
Phruby, I want to see a pic of you with all of the implants that your custom has (just kidding!!)
Oh, and if anyone does want to make any fat guy/bad haircut jokes, I would love to hear them!! I know that they would all be done in fun, not like how things get turned around and taken the wrong way in another forum ::)

I asked the mod over at RS customs about pinning the charity thread at the top of the customs section. He said, I need to talk to Philip about it. So, I pm'ed Philip with my request. His answer was "No."

Somehow if this had originated at his site, I think his answer would have been different.
Ya know, that site is really frustrating at times!!! I MUCHmore prefered the forums back when they were Mike Sullengers!  I really hate the 'Holier Than Though' attitude of some, not all, of the mods over there.

You have to have a really bad haircut............. ;D
Actually, this thing was really easy! I just gave it a wash (Apple Barrels black, water and a drop of soap) and then drybrushed it with more black and then silver. I did it in like half an hour!

Here are a few starfighters that I have done recently.....

Who is that fat guy with the double chin!?!? I haven't put much thought into this challenge, I am not sure what to use for either the head or the body! When Episode I came out, (and I weighed 40 lbs. less ::))I went as Obi-Wan and a lot of people said that I looked a lot like him. Still, I am not sure if I am going to do this one or not.
Let the fat guy and hideous hair cut jokes commence!

I remember seeing your Sacul over on the RS forums, very nice! Custom carding is something that I could never do, just don't have the knack for it!

DE, glad to hear that you are doing OK! Even better to hear that you are doing some customs! Keep us updated as far as how everything is going for you!

Yeah, I kinda know what you are going through D_E ( I live in SW FL ::))Hope everything is alright!!

Here is mine, I made it from the torso, pelvis, head and skirt from the ARC trooper. The rest is from the clone commander and the #6 clone.
