Saga '02-'04 / Re: IS THERE A NEW MOFF IN THE WORK!!!!
« on: November 24, 2003, 01:21 AM »
An Imperial Conference Room Screen Scene would be so sweet:

SET 1 - seated Tarkin, seated General Tagge, standing Death Star Trooper (all with articulated knees)

SET 2 - seated Motti, seated Wulf Yavrin, standing Darth Vader (articulated knees again)

I'd better stray away from EU, because there are probably about 50 I could come up with from there.  So, sticking to the movies:

- Tonnika Sisters
- Yarna, the fat dancer
- CZ Droid
- smuggler Lando
- Rebel Honor Guard

#6 - Cliegg Lars - MAKE HIM, BERU AND OWEN TOO HASBRO!

Saga '02-'04 / BAIL ORGANA WAVE = A+ rating!
« on: November 22, 2003, 12:52 AM »
I got these bad boys today in the mail, and YES they are awesome.  Oh boy, where do I start...

Concept Stormtrooper - pretty darn cool, don't plan on getting too many of these though since they don't look like that in the movie

Ayy Vida - a fun addition to the bar scene, nice little chair she comes with and adds more variety to the line

Imperial Dignitary - dead on sculpt, nice articulation in the arms/wrists, about time they made this guy

Bail Organa - dead on likeness, nice holo Obi Wan (wish he could be taken off the pedestal though); glad he has articulated wrists

Homestead Padme - a collector oriented figure of course; a little boring, but good likeness and nice little tummy you have there; I do like the ball-jointed head

Elan Sleazebaggano - AWESOME sculpting here, great idea including part of the bar and death sticks, a great addition to the line

Obi Wan - the absolute BEST Obi Wan yet, articulated at the neck, waist, knees, boots, right wrist, and ball jointed shoulders; great idea including part of the bar, too bad he has a sculpted lightsaber hilt, but it can probably be removed with relative ease with a dremel

Overall, this is a great wave of figures.  It includes 7 NEW figures, and a pack-in of Ashla and Jempa again.  They probably should have just added another Obi Wan instead of Ashla and Jempa, or instead repacked a figure like removable helmet Vader again instead.  But this wave ROCKS.  I hope you all get it soon!

Has anyone else ordered from them yet?  What a fantastic deal!  I should be getting the Bail Organa wave today for just $6 per figure, and shipping is a flat $5.95 rate no matter how much you order.

Can't wait to see even newer stuff there.  Check it out!  These guys have done the Star Wars community a HUGE favor!

You guys are good.  Ok, here's a few more Wookie offerings:

TPM - Pod Race Mechanic with Eopie reissue

AOTC - Padme with Naboo round beast in her sun dress (waterfall scene)

ANH - CZ Droid with moisture vaporator

ESB - Vader with meditation chamber

ROTJ - Ewok hut with C3PO in wooden chair

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Newforce
« on: November 15, 2003, 01:35 AM »
I think I'm done with NEWFORCE.  At least for now.  They seem to cancel about everything nowadays, and when they DO get things in, it's weeks or months after they hit sufficient quantities in stores.  Either someone isn't keeping on their toes around there, or Hasbro is screwing them.  Either way, my patience has worn thin.  Wookies aren't know for their patience you know.

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Any news on the new Saga Carded Figures?
« on: November 15, 2003, 01:31 AM »
Yeah, they're recarding them for some reason.  Makes no sense to me...

IF they are going to repack any figures, why not ones like these instead:

- Ishi Tib
- Ree Yees
- Gamorrean Guard
- Sio Bibble
- red Naboo Guard

Those are some great ideas Lando.  I really like the one with Han in the Falcon, perhaps with a better sculp than the one that was just reissued; or at least with his left arm in a more neutral pose.

Also, we really need a moisture vaporator somewhere along the line.  Maybe pack it in with an old man Owen.

Another kinda goofy idea would be Sebulba on his massage chair with one of his sexy blue Twi'leks.

Aw, thanks guys.  Ever seen a Wookie blush? :-[

You all have very cool ideas too.  But wouldn't it be fun to get an email sometime from Hasbro regarding a position there in their Star Wars department?  I'd almost rather do that than work for Lucasfilm!   ;)

Keep coming up with those ideas, he's right; you never know when a Hasbro marketer will survery the forums to see what we would like to see done.

Great topic idea BTW stan.
