Kubricks / 2012 Medicom Parco Toy Show
« on: May 23, 2012, 04:56 PM »
Looks like we'll be getting carded versions of the Vinyl Vader and Tie Fighter pilot from DX4 for the Medicom Toy Exhibition. The Kubrick line is still dead in my eyes so I can't be bothered to make a new thread about them.

Kubricks / General Kubrick Chat (both SW and others)

There is no random thread for subjects that just don't fit anywhere else so I've created one.

At least there is free shipping!

Kubricks / Medicom Toy Manual Volume 2
« on: August 1, 2011, 01:34 AM »
I'm sure you all know about this but I was wondering if anybody was going to pick this up (I already have!). It covers everything from 2006 to 2012 (although I doubt the 2012 stuff will be that vast). I have the first volume and although it's in Japanese and there is a lot of other crap in it that Medicom makes I find it a very good reference for Kubricks.

Kubricks / Medicom Parco Toy Exhibiton 2011

Is there no Toy Exhibition this year? I thought there would be due to Medicom celebrating their 15th birthday. Does that just leave Wonderfest as our only chance to see new Kubs in the wild?

Kubricks / 400% Kubricks Wants and Wishes?
« on: June 11, 2011, 01:03 AM »
In terms of wants I don't have any as the only ones I don't have are two of the Fetts and the TC-14 and I'd rather spend my money on something else. As for wishes I'd like to see a Chewie (old or new sculpt) or a regular Han. I'd also like to see a 300% Yoda but I'm dreaming  ;D

Kubricks / Johnny Lightning Gallery Showcases
« on: February 24, 2011, 08:41 AM »
Are these still available in stores? They're not sold in the UK so my only source has been ebay and I haven't seen any in a very long time. I'm down to my last 3 so I'd like to know if I need to look elsewhere for display solutions or keep looking for JL's on the bay.

Other Collectibles / Mondo Posters
« on: February 24, 2011, 04:23 AM »
I'm not sure if any of you guys have seen these but here is a collection of the limited edition Star Wars posters mondo released.

Poster collection

Here is the Mondo Website

My personal favourite is this

Sadly I've never been able to get the posters. They're released at a random time so everybody has a fair chance of getting one and are limited to a small number. Also they cost a lot of money.

They have done many other posters from other films so I recommend you check out their blog and see. Be prepared to get your geek on because they're awesome!

Watto's Junk Yard / Please Vote for RAAM
« on: September 12, 2010, 09:23 AM »
Hey guys I hope you can do me a big favour which will take less than a minute!

I play Gears of War 2 multiplayer and they plan to increase the XP multiplier if a Gears character wins a versus round against another game character!

All you have to do is click on the link below and vote for RAAM. You can also vote for other characters in the round such as Darth Vader!

http://uk.gamespot.com/greatest-video-game-villain/vote/battle-hub/index.html?battle_id=60

It's not so much the competition I care about but rather the consequences of the Gears character winning this round.

I hope this all makes sense and you can spare less time than it took to read this and vote!! :P

Kubricks / Kubrick Stormtrooper Han & Luke 2-Pack
« on: July 26, 2010, 09:53 AM »

●STAR WARS BE@RBRICK 100% C-3PO&R2-D2セット 時期未定 ¥未定

- Be@rbrick 2-pack, like the Vader/Stormtrooper set from earlier

●STAR WARS KUBRICK 100% LUKE SKYWALKER(TM)&HAN SOLO(TM) (STORM TROOPER DISGUISE セット) 時期未定 ¥未定

- Probably a 2-pack like others have said - it will be interesting to see if they are the same as the former chases or if they will make them new, giving them "wet" hair or trash paint aps or something.

Confirmed at wonder festival

Well of the Souls / Indiana Jones Kubrick Series Ideas
« on: May 29, 2008, 02:36 AM »
OK I was bored and got to thinking what would be in a series of Indy kubs. Below is a list I came up with based on memory, imdb (for names) and the films themselves.

I've created 9 series, 3 series per film with 6 regular figs and 3 chases per series. I haven't included KOTCS because with only one viewing I couldn't do it justice.

I've added potential accessories to some but not all figs. Chases are listed after the third series of each film.

Series 1 - Raiders of the Lost Ark

Regular Indy - gun whip
Nepal Marion - Ra medallion
Marcus Brody
Belloq - golden idol
Jock - reggie the snake
Hovitos Indian - spear

Series 2 - Raiders of the Lost Ark

School Teacher Indy - book
Cario Marion - frying pan
Sallah
Barranca - monkey
Toht - coat hanger
Cario swordsman

Series 3 - Raiders of the Lost Ark

Bedouin? Indy - staff of Ra
White dress Marion
Big Mechanic
Katanga
Dietrich
Nazi soldier

Chases

Exploded head Belloq
Satipo
Melted face Dietrich
Melted face Toht
Nazi dressed Indy - bazooka
Omar
Col. Musgrove
Major Eaton
Ark of the covenant

Series 4 - The Temple of Doom

White dinner jacket Indy - remains of Nurhaci
Short Round - foot blocks
Willie Scott showgirl dress
Lao Che - diamond and antidote
Old indian guy
Chattar Lal

Series 5 - The Temple of Doom

Banquet Indy
Willie with Indy clothes
Maroon guard - gun
Mola Ram
Captain Phillip Blumburtt
Little Maharaja - voodoo doll

Series 6 - The Temple of Doom

Sleeveless Indy - stones and machete
Banquet Willie
Black guard - rifle
Chattar Lal thugee ceromony outfit
British Indian soldier - rifle
Slave kid

Chases

Mine cart
Big muscle guard - sledge hammer
Earl Weber
Kao Kan
Wu Han
Banquet Maharaja
Human sacrifice guy - heart

Series 7 - The Last Crusade

Young indy with bloody chin - bull whip and cross
Panama hat (guy with white suit and red rose)
Kazim
Venice Elsa Schneider
Walter Donovan
Vogel

Series 8 - The Last Crusade

Regular Indy with black tie - grail diary
Motorcycle nazi - machine gun
Prof Henry Jones
Castle Elsa Schneider
Sallah
Tank driver

Series 9 - The Last Crusade

Ticket inspector indy
Grail knight
Sultan
Nazi Elsa Schneider - goggles
Gunshot wound Prof Henry Jones - grail
Arab soldier

Chases

Fedora (fake indy)
Young panama hat
Young prof Henry Jones
Indiana Jones in carbonite
Marcus Brody
WWI flying ace <--- not even in final film
Fedora henchman #1 ginger haired guy
Fedora henchman #2 native american guy
Venice Indy
Rob Schneider (found in elsa schneider box) <----- joke :P

I know it's not perfect but it was done for fun and not meant to be seen as anything else.

Also as for how some of the chases could be realised in kubrick form I have no idea but I listed them anyway (I'm pointing at you exploded head Belloq)
