Title: The Scam of Quixtar
Post by: Ben on September 27, 2005, 11:45 PM
Just a little heads-up to my buds here at JD. I'd hate to see anyone here get hosed by this scam.

Link to a really long post from my blog. (http://no--code.blogspot.com/2005/09/scam-of-quixtar.html)

I'm sure more than one of you has been contacted by one of these people and hopefully, you've turned them down.
This thing simply doesn't work, except for a certain few.

Don't believe the hype.

I did some more digging and found this:

The guy that tried to get me into Quickscam told me stories of riches and wealth.
He told me he had been doing it for 5 years and that he was just about ready to quit his day job.

Then he got into his 1990 Cadillac and drove home to his trailer park.

I had a similar experience.

My brother had the guy who started him meet me at Applebee's once.
He arrived in a dirty 93 Mustang and was wearing an obviously fake Rolex.

All he did was talk about how much money he was making. Between that and his job at a bank, he still made less last year than I did. They're all full of ****.  ::)
