Ever have one of those weeks...
« on: April 28, 2005, 04:00 PM »
Where everything sucked hard?

Mine just keeps snowballing:

Getting lost and cornered by a bum in indy< Car accident< Finding the car to be totaled< tornado weather in indy< missing the convention< bus ride sucking ass for being late< XM at work being broken, so I work in total silence< finding out that my "date" got changed to a group thing behind my back< knowing that some one who will be there will ask my former "date" out, and she'll say yes.

This **** sucks. SUCKS.

Anyone have a bunch of **** like this happen so fast? >:( :(

I've been having one of those years :P

It all started last spring with my Appendectomy

Since then:

Water Heater leaking/Hornets Nest/Gash on My Forehead the same day
Car Accident
Back Injury
Concussion
Son #1 Cracked Ribs and Stitches and Hospital Stay
Totalled Car
Same Week Car #2 needs $3000 in work
Buy two new used cars upping payments
Dealing with ******* insurance and bills
Retired from JD
Son #2 gets his hand burned by Vacuum Cleaner thanks to Son #1, requiring 5 weeks of daily clinic visits (don't ask)
Wife got cut from her teaching job for the third straight year
I had too much Guinness and Hot Wings the other night and my tum tum hurt all day yesterday

Such is life though, everything could always be even worse :-*

...The cable just went out. :( Things just got worse.

Scott, a car crash does put things into perspective, doesn't it?

Were the police there and did they file a report?

Yes, the police showed, gave me their insurance info, to boot. They even towed my car and didn't tell me where it was going. How nice of them, eh? Now their ******' insurance wants money? For what, the tiny ****** dent on their front bumper from when they parked their car against it, or the scrape from when they tore the front of my car up? :-X

It should say on the police report who was at fault, both insurance companies will evaluate that I would guess and come to an agreement  Did you get witnesses?

I didn't have the oportunity to get any whitnesses at 10:49 at night. They just arent around. The police concluded since we both claimed innocence, and that there were no whitnesses, that they didn't know, yet the lady on the phone said from the sounds of it, they might have been speeding.

Hang in there Kevin, things will get better.

I was in a car accident about two and a half years ago.  The lady who rear-ended my car tried very hard to get out of there before the police showed up so she could deny that it was her fault (her car wasn't damaged, but mine was).  I just told her she could do what she wanted, but I was waiting for a cop to show up.  She didn't say two words to me after that.

Just make sure that you explain everything you your claims adjuster and be as thorough as possible.  You should be ok.

Chin up bud...you could be here where it's snowing! :o
This is the way.

I have spoken.

Thunderstorms here, Matt.

Thanks for the kind words though folks, and letting me vent.

The good news is I tracked down my Clone Commander who was MIA.

Like others here have said Kevin hang in there.  If there were no independent witness (not sure how many people were in the cars) then it should be a he said/he said situation and there isn't enough proof on who was at fault.  The bad news would have to use your insurance but they can't get sue you or anything like that.  This happened to my brother once a bucnh of teenage girls run a light and hit him.  No witness so there was no proof on who run the light so there was no falut put on either person.  My brother had to pay his bills but that was the worst of it.
hope everything goes good with you.

Wait I want to hear what happened with the bum??? Did he try to jack you for some money??? Or what, did you have to lay him out???

Oh and get a lawyer, there are plenty here in Albany, sue the hell out of them. Remember many don't collect a fee if they lose!!!

He cornered us for money, first it was 2 bucks, then 4, then 6. We (P'Dubs gave most of it, and I gave like 50 cents in dimes) gave him the money, and he walked to the liquor store. ::) I don't plan to sue anybody.

It's not in my nature.
