Title: Vintage Y-wing gun question
Post by: Phrubruh on July 7, 2007, 01:04 PM
I found this vintage y-wing star wars commerical on youtube. It shows the laser cannon moves left and right when the sound effect button is pressed. Does this really work this way? My vintage y-wing doen't do this. Maybe it's broken.

Looks like it does make sound looking at the 12back.com site in the description & instructions.

My Y-Wing is still in storage so I'll have to dig it out to check if mine does.

But does pressing the button turn the turret too?

Yes, pressing the button does make the turret swivel left-right and makes a "firing" noise, if you can call it that... ahh, that brought back some memories.

I haven't had any batteries in my Y-Wing for about 15 years, I'm going to have to go downstairs and play test that.  ;D

Dug mine out but I had to do a bit of cleaning, works like a charm.

Wow, I never knew that about the y-wing. I'll have to see if the electronics in mine still work.

Same here - you all have me inspired to check the electronics on mine.  It's super clean, so I'm guessing it will work.

Too bad the new versions don't do that.
