There will be an Avengers panel next Saturday at NY Comic Con.  Chris Evans will reportedly take part, as will Kevin Feige.
And Cobie Smulders!

Yeah, all three are reported to be attending.

Too bad Scarlett won't be there.

We should makea tally and see what days people will be there:

Friday
Paul
P-Siddy (Steve)
speedermike (Mike)

Saturday

Sunday

Paul, any more word about the meet-up? Or are we just going to be spontaneous?
Mike, I think I'm going to wear my gray Tee that says Champcar on it. I don't think too many people there will have a shirt that has a defunct racing series on it.

Looks like something you'd see at a convention or something!

You wonder if they'd do something like that at NYCC?

Hard to believe that Colin is one year old today!  Quickest and best year of my life!

Congrats on the year anniversary! As for the quickest year... yeah, life flies with kids.  ;D

I saw this wave (and remnants) at 2 comic stores in Manhattan. But I left them for $15 a piece. They look sharp though.

Bought my Friday ticket today. Do you still need help, Paul?

I agree, Jesse. $9 and limited articulation would suck, since Vintage is supposed to be the high-end line. But I don't think 2-1B needs a lot of articulation to be good enough to get. But glowing lightsabers (if they do that)? Not sure how they'd do that (I'm thinking the vintage-slide lightsabers).

I guess vendors selling comics is obvious, some celebrities.

That makes it interesting that there will be 'new' figures with action/light up features. Not sure I'll venture over to that line, but maybe glowing lightsabers, 2-1B's eyes and torso or Jawa eyes could do it.

Well, I would have been willing to help people out if there had been an exclusive.

Since this is my first con... what should I expect? Long lines...

Perhaps a loot swap would be good, if anyone finds new figure outside of Manhattan?

Cental Park is also pretty cool. It's huge, but I like the area around the Boathouse personally with the lakes. Brooklyn Bridge is about 40 minutes if you want to walk it round-trip.

Another thing about the Statue of Liberty is that all the tickets to the crown are sold out until it closes. I think that'd be the only way to go. I went when my parents were here and just went up the pedistal. I guess the museums interesting, but the pedistal just gives you a view of Manhattan/Brooklyn and Jersey. You could save some money and just do a boat tour of the area.

The Met is a bit of the way from the Center (along with Guggenheim) but might be worth checking out if you're into art. A show? Depends on the time and money you have.

Are there any ideas that you have?

I'll be in NYC that week and attending Comic Con.  I'd love to meet up with whoever from JD will be there, and also get some pointers, because this is my first trip to the city.   :)

What day are you showing up at the Con (and NYC)?

I guess my pointers are if you want to see the 9/11 Memorial, you have to get tickets (free) in advance. To be sure they don't 'sell' out for the time you're gonna be here, I suggest reserving your time now. If you want to do other touristy things like go up the Empire State Building, tickets are a bit cheaper online, and the ESB tickets are good for a year, so it's not like you have to worry about when you are getting there. The Statue of Liberty is pretty much an all day affair and tickets go fast for the morning times. Plus they are going to close down the statue at some point soon (don't recall the date) for a year.

I think Paul's going to arrange a get-together on one of the nights.
