I'm surprised people are shocked at the $15 price point.

I've never said the $14.99 price on Hulk Legends wasn't obscene, either.  :P  Of course there's not a line out there that isn't overpriced at the moment.

I like what I'm hearing about the new Metallica.  AJFA is easily my favorite Metallica album and one of my favorites of all time *period*.  I picked it up this morning but have yet to listen to it.

As far as what I'm listening to, I can't get enough of Mudvayne's L.D. 50.  Probably the most played album on my iPod over the last four months.

I saw the Target ML wave this morning and they were $14.99.  Obscene.  They had the Wolverine variant but no Union Jack.  Not sure if that's a case assortment or just what they happened to put out that morning.  Good looking line, actually.  I really dig the Spiral and yellow Wolverine and I think the Red Hulk will look good completely assembled.

I picked up Mario Super Sluggers the other day.  I *loved* the Superstar Baseball for the Gamecube and figured this would be a good follow-up.  Unfortunately, I'm drastically disappointed in it.  What I loved about the GC version was the Challenge play - you pick a team, you find new players and most importantly you actually play games.  Unless something has completely passed me by, all you do in Super Slugger's challenge play is run around, do short challenges to pick up players, play a 3-inning game against Bowser Jr, then play Bowser for five innings to win the Challenge.  Wow.  :|  Not only were the two ballgames sickingly easy (I beat Jr. 23-0), I can't believe that you don't actually play more traditional baseball games in Challenge mode.  The minigames and short challenges don't have a lot of appeal once you've done a couple of them.

Man, am I depressed.  I recently decided to give up collecting indefinitely, and the only pieces I've kept are my Metroid Samus statue from First 4 Figures and the Flash Gordon figures from Bif Bang Pow.  I've been waiting 28 years for figures from that movie, and with three new figures on the way I wasn't about to send them off.  Not to metion that wave 2 is on the way relatively soon.  I gotta say though, I am not impressed with wave 2.

I hope to all that's holy that these aren't the final versions.  After the striking Ming and Flash figures that truly represent the actors, Barin and Dale look nothing like Timothy Dalton and Melody Anderson.  And Klytus...when the **** did he turn orange?   ???

Maybe someone that went to SDCC can chime in and tell me they look much better in person, because I'm sad to say that I don't see myself buying these if this is what they're going to look like.

Picked this up a while back:

Best TV show ever.  :)  Just started season 4 the other day.  Kind of bummed that I'm almost done with it...it's become regular viewing over the last few weeks.

Are these roughly Marvel Legends sized?  They actually look a little bigger to me.

They're 7" scale.  Liz is around 6 1/2", up to Wink who's around 9".

BTW.....SWEET FREAKIN' JEEBUS!!!!   :o :o

Anyone got their Hellboy II figures yet?

******* awesome.  :)  Wink weighs a ton, and there's even a mailaway offer (free, if I remember right) for an interchangable head that better matches the final movie version.  I've had some paint quality issues with a couple but overall I'm really impressed.

Can't wait for series 2 with the Angel of Death.

This is the creature from Alien, not Aliens.  In Aliens they were more animal-like in the way they moved (sometimes on all fours, but much of the time not), but in Alien it was upright a good portion of the time you saw it and intended to be more of a humanoid than an animal.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: WALL-E (Pixar)

Nope, sure didn't.  Part of it is the subject matter (I can't stand racing), part of it is Larry the Cable Guy and part of it is that I just didn't get into the characters that much.  I've watched it a couple of times, and while I'll admit I liked it better the second time that's not saying much because I *hated* it the first time.  It had its moments and a pretty good message, so I'm sure I'll it another shot.

I was really impressed by this movie.  While it looked interesting, I didn't have high hopes after being disappointed in the last two Pixar flicks.  That, and the trailers had me worried that Wall-E himself was going to be another Number 5 from Short Circuit.   :-\  I was amazed at how captivated the movie seemed to keep everyone in the theater (kids and adults alike) despite the lack of dialogue.  I loved how the robots all had so much more personality than the humans, and there was some good commentary about pollution and technology.

Thank you Pixar for restoring my faith in your movies.  :)

Picked up NECA's 7" scale Alien the other day.  Holy crap, this is a cooooooool figure.  :)  It has all the detail I'd expect from NECA, but articulation I never would have imagined (just because NECA's figures are usually so damn static).

I've put up images and a review if anyone's interested.

I sent away for two Skeletons and the checks have been cashed.  It was maybe a week ago that they cleared.

And my Rex checks cleared around a week before that.

Not much in the way of Hulk figures at retail at all.  It seems that once the movie hit the figures flew off the pegs.  At least that's what I've seen.  Iron Man seemed to go the same way as well.

Are you talking about the Legends figures or the movie figures?  Because I haven't seen any sign of *any* of the movie figures selling here.  The pegs have been jammed since day 1 and they're starting to go on clearance.  Now, the Legends figures I haven't seen yet but I imagine they'll sell well at first due to FFF being one of the best Build-A-Figures to date (IMO).  But then again at the supposed $15 price tag they might sit around.   :-\
