The one without the helmet carries the short-range, but I see your point. Thanks for the tip.

Dude!! What do you do for a living?!  If this your retirement plan?  I'm not trying to give you a bad time, it just blows my mind that you have amassed such a large collection of collections.

Lol.  ;D

Not to be rude or anything, Madoka, but I too would be interested to find out what you do for a living. That's amazing. Are you talking about, like, the PODS-size storage units? That's just mind-boggling...

Finally had enough extra cash around to put an order in. I got:

12 E-11s
2 MP-5
2 HK-36
2 Dragonuv Rifles
1 Medical Stretcher
1 Labtop

Total came to 21.36 with shipping. Although, I got two order confirmation emails, so I think I ordered it twice. Oh well, the more the merrier I guess. :)

In the 84th Communications Corps, they deploy their soldiers in teams of two with their own seperate objecitves that are part of the overall combat operation. Each of the comm. teams has a short and long range antenna user, and are equipped with a long range and close quarters weapon.

Private Cardan is Private Irune's partner. He carries a long-range antenna as well as his gear on his back. He is equipped with a medium-range blaster carbine and a standard combat helmet.

Here are the two stationed on Kogerlos, a forested planet that is constantly covered with a heavy layer of snowfall.

The dio in the background is part of my Battle of the Bulge diorama (still WIP) that I'm doing for my history class.

Well, I hope you like them. LMK what you think. Thanks for looking.

Indeed, the accessories are great! Nice background story too.

Snow you say? Lucky you! That's your chance to prep some Snowtroops, man!

Ha. Hopefully when the Galactic Marine hits my area, there will still be some snow on the ground. Then I can really get started...

Thanks Clone Commander and Incom. Today (probably) I should have up Irunes "guard"- a regular foot soldier to keep him protected when he goes out to repair a comm. line or set one up.

Well, there are, but it took me like 2 days to find them. They look different. I'm kind of warming up to it, but I would have rather stuck with IE6 or whatever I had...

AWESOME!!! Picked up some of the first series of the D-Day figures today at the Beaver Valley WalMart. The whole first wave was there (German Parade Officer, Camo Smock German, Tank Commander, Ranger Scout, Tank Gunner, D-Day Rifleman), but the only ones that really caught my eye were the Tank Commander and the 2nd Ranger Scout. I really can't wait for the rest of the DDay figures, I'll post pics if anyone wants them.

Thanks for all the comments CC1, Incom, Jango, and Deanna.

Since I realized I had waited too long to start my PN and it's too cold (Just started snowing here), I had three clones left over. Going to work with my trusty bottle of nail polish remover, I got rid of the paint and started anew...sort of.

The 84th Communications Corps specialized in setting up communication systems in the battlefield. Truly shining in urban combat situations, they worked alongside another battle group that did the fighting. They also are trained to infiltrate, slice, and take over enemy command posts.

Each soldier is equipped with an equipment belt, comm. pack, thermal detonator, and a headset used to listen to the battle net and relay information to the ground troops.

Private Irune is equipped with a medium range blaster carbine and a close quarters particle blaster (i.e. shotgun).

I really don't like to complain, but yeah, the Yak forums are kind of bugging me now. The Q&A had some really interesting questions, but the forums won't load for me to see them.

Pic?

Even just a camera phone shot would suffice.

Ack! This really threw me for a loop when I logged on. I'm glad it's not permanent the white is kind of hurting my eyes...

The old layout is so much better, looking forward for it to change back.

Aww ****, totally forgot last night about the trailer. :(

Right now I'm loading the trailer off of Xbox.com, for some reason it's taking forever...

EDIT- Just watched it. Hmm...not sure if it was MC as a kid, or just two kids wondering what's up in space...

I loved the transition from past to present during the battle, but a little confused what that thing he was he used...looked like a grenade of some sort, but didn't really make sense.

But how he lept of the ridge into the group of Elites was just amazing. I really can't wait for this game.

Well, unfortuneately I was not able to attend the show and it sounds like you had a good time Jesse. I hope the April (right?) show will be better, we'll see the rest of TSC and all the 30AC stuff that's hit so far.

Nice-writeup as well. Is the early buyer event worth it? I usually just go on Sunday but I'm thinking about going Saturday next time.
