STAR WARS: THE BLACK SERIES 6-Inch Jyn Erso Pack
(Ages 4 years & up/Approx. Retail Price: $24.99)
Bring the action of the highly anticipated Rogue One: A Star Wars Story film to life with THE BLACK SERIES Jyn Erso Pack! A highly skilled soldier in the Rebel Alliance, Jyn Erso is an impetuous, defiant warrior eager to bring the battle to the Empire. This impressive 6-inch scale figure features extensive articulation and realistic character design. Look for this to be available through HasbroToyShop after the convention as well.

Is this just a packaging variation of what will be available at retail later this fall?

correct

Three exclusives no one will be able to get seems like overkill IMHO. ::)
But at least it's just packaging, which is the least offensive of all con exclusives.
-
+1. An exclusive packaging version is probably the least offensive of exclusives.
I have a friend who's attending SDCC that is trying to score an exclusive Obi-Wan for me. But I'm not going to ask them to get me the exclusive Jyn Erso. I can wait for the general release version.

Yeah her pack-in doesn't even seem quite as nifty as the Stormtrooper's little book last year which was actually kinda neat. She has like a little threat dossier type thing. Kinda cool, but really just looks like some (albeit sweet) Stephen Hayford photography work as a pack-in. Cool, but not cool enough to blow too much $.
I do wish Hasbro made a little more than they seem to, to share after the show. That alone would alleviate some of the manic behavior people have after SDCC every year, but hey, it's a con and exclusive once again means something... plus how many years did Hasbro make oodles available and get burned on it? So **** happens I guess.
BTW am I the only one who thinks this figure looks incredible? I saw tons of bitching about her sculpt/likeness like that Leia figure. I don't see the correlation but some seem to think this looks bad. Not I. That's a kickass sculpt I thought.
-
I think the sculpt is great. I don't know it 100% looks like the actress, but it's light years beyond whatever is going on with Leia right now. I think the packaging on this is fun but like the TFA trooper last year, non essential. I like the green though. I actually thought they'd be changing up the look this fall as they typically do, and green would probably be the color choice due to the Death Trooper's apparent greenish accents.
-
Yeah I'll wait for the wide release.
-
Figure looks great and I like the packaging, but I'll pass if I can't get it for cheap. I like that the exclusive offering isn't too much beyond what we commoners can get our hands on.
-
Yeah Obi Wan is the only one I'd be tripping over myself trying to get I think. The accessory is too cool. The others are just ok though.
-
I got one of these from Hasbro. It's nice... but I have no idea who Jyn Erso is or what she does (trying to avoid spoilers, thanks).
Guess I will have to decide whether I actually want to keep it or not until after the movie comes out. :P
-
Well she's hot, I can say that. :P
I'm shocked they cranked out 3 exclusives at SDCC. I'm wondering if Jyn's going to be any different when released to stores? Maybe no head wrap thing? Hmmm.
-
I have a feeling she will be just like the stromtrooper last year. Just a different box.
-
You don't need to have a feeling, Hasbro already said (and showed (http://jedidefender.com/index.php?id=2156)) exactly that. :P
All three of the SDCC figures will be re-issued in the basic 6" Black Series line in the Fall, minus the special bits (no cards for Jyn; no table and Anakin saber for Obi-Wan; no stand, banner, and helmets for Kylo).
