did you guys see the new dollar store 25th style figures news that has broke over at general Joes?
I like them a LOT, I was just wanting a Snake eyes in that outfit the other day.
Digging that Steel brigade style shipwreck as well.
Heres hoping for a tele viper/ eel / BAT in that assortment.
because man there are LOTS of dollar stores around where I live and they will have so many I will end up army building on clearence.

yeah man, this wal mart im talking about use to be my GOLDEN go to spot, always had the new waves in but they did a reset in Nov and put out one case of the Zombie/ techno/ renegades wave, and have rearranged ( reset?) the toy section THREE damn times since then and have moved an empty 12 peg area for joes and then not filled it all three times!!
Something is definatly not going well with hasbro, I mean they have always sucked at distrobution but this is the worst ive ever seen it, I still havnt seen any star wasr figures after the TMP wave ANYWHERE.
Ive had to get wave four of gi joe literally one figure at a time from places liek drug stores ect where I wsee you guys are having luck I go check that kind of store and Ive never found more than one wave 4 joe at a time, still need Sci fi Air tight and about a brazillion more zombies, I only have on one now

Found a lone techno viper today at a wal mart that hasnt stocked GI joes since November of last year, and he was teh only figure on teh pegs. This had to be a return right?
I cant imagine people leaving such a cool army builder and taking EVERYTHING else from this wave, its usually ripcord and tunnelrat and scarlet that are left

that brings up a great post I have always thought we subisideize a lot of useless crap with our 3 3/4 pruchases

every molecule of plastic hasbro uses under this license that doesnt go directly to as yet unmade characters in 3 3/4 scale is a complete waste

Case assortments wouldn't be so bad if they had decent distribution.

I tend to think the disasterous incompotent and insulting distrobution problems come from terrible case assortments peg locking he store inventory system as soon as enough cases move through to leave the inevitable pile up of main character repacks ( that we all have a dozen times each) filling the pegs.

I Swear Hasbro think that 80% of their business is impulse buys from non collectors or casual fane and that 20% is from us when its pretty clear of you follow what sells and what doesnt, that they have it almost exactly backwards

this may be Star wars toys and Hasbro in generals greatest problem.

I just picked up a brown version of the POC HISS as well.  Snagged it from Nerd Rage Toys.  Loose, complete and in good shape.  The only problem I have with it is the locking mechanism for holding the body down is really touchy.  If you push on it to roll it across the floor and the body tilts forward even a little it will release and pop up.  Not sure, is that a design flaw in the toy or is the spring on this one just worn out?

Mine is the same way
and I sort of only like the thing in the down position

to me
the moral of Star wars is
Love your freinds
Han Leia and Luke got it RIGHT and thats why they won, and freed the Galaxy.faith and loyalty to your frinds IS The light side of the force in your every day life
Ben, Padme and Anakin got it WRONG and lost the Galaxy to Palpatine as a result.

Bit of there needs to be any proof, the first thing Luke said when he fell at Dagobah during his vision was
" HAN!...LEIA!"

space slugs internal atmoshpere is easy
HE HAD GAS!

But that has to be one hell of a dense asteroid if ( as it appears) it has near Earth gravity!
s slick trick would have been to use some slowed down footage or something on the external shots during that sequence to give it that apollo moon walk feel.

remember the death star has gravity both from its immense mass and artificially generated, so due to the energies and velocities involved with that straffing run, you are going to want to have an approach vector that maximises the tangent vice normal component of your velocity vector WRT the center of the death stars mass.
Manned space craft have to re-enter earths atmosphere at a VERY VERY shallow angle, I cant remember it off hand but its like between 2.7 and 3.1 degrees angle from straight tangent component.
Then once down in the trench, it appears you only have a few wingspans clearence and you have to assume that the repulsers, sheilding and propulsion systems of these craft have an area of effect that extends at least slightly past their spaceframes. So in Earth terms imagine three AH-64s howling down a canyon thats barely wide enough for them, and their down draft or even hover in ground effects would interfere with one anothers control surfaces.
So you can only run a fe fighters down the Death star trench at a time and you have to do it at a shallow approach vector.

I sort of use mine as an iron Grenadier version since the color nicely compliments if not matches the MARS officer from the troop builder pack, and it just looks good with a squad of those guys, the heavy gunner thats been shipping in POC and 30th.

Sort of like I really like the new Cobra renegades trooper ( sucurity officer) hanging out near the clssic MAGGOT because teh colors look good together.

The future of Star Wars collecting damn well better include a totally scrapped and reinvented distrobution Paradigm from Hasbro and their distributors or there will be no future and we promise you that.

oh no
I enjoy the humor of having these far too much, and bonus I have these characters carded, a testimonial monumant, to Hasbro's sandbagging and a reminder to never get suckered into another of certain charcaters no matter what improvements they made
and besides a CSR with ANY sense would see they are slit at the bottum, im not THAT carefull when I open them

like
I put the terrible Saga Peasant anakin on my wave 4 AOTC Vinage anakin card
so i can still play with the good figure, the newer one
and still display a "carded" example, the terrible 2002 version
It makes us of both teh old card and the old terrible figure that got replaced
ive done about 2 or 3 dozen of these so far
another example is the bar2 d 2,  i opened it and put teh terrible potf2 version with the giant third leg and action feature on the card.
I put that terrible first greivous on the TVC Greivous card
ect

so I get to plkay with the newer definitive versions, still have a carded version to display and get those terribl efigures out of my dios
