We are going to need a hint here Sarge, I'm guessing not too many fans of ABC's Friday Night Crap-o-Rama around here :P

No ****, I did a google search and found nothing.

I do know, however, that Samantha's Macelli's first car was yellow and looked like a school bus.

I love Alyssa Milano  ;)  ;D

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: What else do you collect?
« on: April 10, 2003, 08:16 AM »
Modern Star Wars 3.75" figs and vehicles, Unleashed, Legos and whatever else Star Wars related that floats my boat.

I'm seriously thinking about starting a Gammorean Guard collection.  The Piggies are my favorite aliens and a character collection based on them shouldn't be too hard to amass, as there aren't many items with them on it.  Probably the hardest item to get would be that ultra cool 14" statue from a few years back.  I'm also seriously thinking about commissioning a Bill Cable One of a Kind drawing of the Gamorrean Guard.

Due to monetary issues, I've held off on collecting other toy lines.  Its tough because Marvel Legends, Muppets, MOTU and LOTR have really impressed me.  But I will buy a Sweetums Muppet fig if he's ever released, cause he's just too cool  8)

I do get comic books every week and have quite a collection of those, both in my apartment and in my Nana's house back in NJ.

My wife's like Matt's and Morgbug's, she doesn't collect anything except Hard Rock Hurricane glasses, but she's not as anal rentive about them as I am about my collection.

Jocasta's Reading Room / Re: Clone Wars Comic Line

I would say a comic book shop is your best bet.  However, I did notice that Borders now has a comic rack near the magazine section, so you might want to try there too.  Issue 52 comes out today, so you'll most likely only find 51 at Borders, as they don't stock back issues (only the current issue out)

Jocasta's Reading Room / Re: Whats your favorite
« on: April 9, 2003, 01:44 PM »
Instead of adding praise for the Thrawn trilogy (which is well deserved) I'll say my favorite has been the Rogue Squadron series.

Stackpole's and Allston's writing was superb and they dealt with the other hero of the Rebellion, Wedge Antilles.  All of them, including the comics, are must reads IMO.

Planet of Twilight.  Didn't even finish it.

Nobody's forcing anyone to buy from them or any other store for that matter.  Its just a matter of paying the bills.  Will I buy from them?  No, because their prices are too high.  Will I stop coming to JD because they're sponsered by them? No.  I love the comradere (sp?) here, but I'm smart enough to know when I can get items cheaper.

Collector's Tips / Re: Storing Loose Figs

Hey OCB (does that stand for Old Country Buffet?) where do you get those tackle boxes?

Whoa boy, did you just open a can of worms.  ;)

I'll let Scott (OCB) explain.

Collector's Tips / Re: Storing Loose Figs
« on: April 7, 2003, 02:49 PM »
All of my loose figs are in individual Ziploc bags and then placed in Rubbermaid containers (the shallow ones, about 12" deep) and then are stored in the closet in the spare bedroom.  I have absolutely no room for any of my collection and most of it's packed away.  This way they're out of light, smoke (wife smokes), and no weapons and accessories get lost.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Breakfast
« on: April 7, 2003, 02:40 PM »
I never eat breakfast unless it's a rare occasion. I go for coffee first thing so I can regain motor skills. My first meal is usually in the afternoon. Not the best thing to do, I know, but that's just the way it is.  :)

Same here, although some times I'll have a bagel or muffin at work.  On weekends, however, I sometimes have breakfast, whether its homemade or at a restaurant.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Ever get in a fight?
« on: April 7, 2003, 02:36 PM »
I haven't been in a fight since junior high, most of which were stupid anyway.

It's somewhat surprising that I haven't been in one in my adult life (not that I go looking for fights, my parents raised me to not start fights, just end them) considering the fact that I can be somewhat of an a-hole when I've had way too many to drink.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Easter Long Weekend Plans?
« on: April 7, 2003, 02:20 PM »
Besides the fact that I won't be eating Cadbury Creme Eggs (they are the most digusting, vile, nastiest things I have ever eaten), the wife and I will be headed to New Jersey that weekend.  I grew up there and we're looking to move back.  So that weekend, we'll be driving around looking at towns to settle in.  As for Easter itself, whatever my family has planned, we'll be there.  It usually involves way too much food, but it's always a good time.

Bummer also that I only got 6 of my 10 choices!  What's up with that?!   :'(  How can folks not want that sweet Treadwell Droid and that freak lookin' Wioslea?!  Boring ol' human characters...  Guess I can't get all of my Cantina aliens in one fell swoop, huh?

Bring on AOTC!

And you thought your list was the list, huh Matt?  Don't you know people love freaky looking pot smokers and not multi-armed, multi-tasking droids (well, maybe women prefer the latter  ;))?  But there's still hope that Hasbro packages them together.

Ok, now for the trivia question:

Who was Time magazine's first Man of the Year and in what year did he receive the award?
