Very, very cool.  Hot Toys just keeps on knocking it out of the park with their offerings.  I wish the price point wasn't so high, otherwise I might get into this line.

I'm with Nick - the pricing on the 12" stuff (even the sideshow stuff) drove me out of the 12" line a long, long time ago.  They look fantastic though.

I was out but the Hot Toys stuff brought me back in. I stopped buying anything else except for Hot Toys.

When Sideshow introduced their 12" figure line at a price point around $50 / figure it was certainly manageable.  When things started creeping over $100 / figure?  I started being more selective.  But with the Hot Toys figures priced like this, at over $200 per figure?  I just enter the giveaway contests, and that's it.

The prices have ridiculously gone up but so have the quality of the product. Looking back at some of the old Sideshow figures is laughable compared to Hot Toys. One is artwork, the other are toys.

When SS got the 12" license I was geeked to buy soldier figures...  Just stick with military stuff.  But again as others pointed out, prices killed it for me.

I bought the last SS Vader, mostly because I wanted a nice "centerpiece" figure for my meager higher-end shelf, and I felt a SS Vader covered that nicely.  I got the Endor Rebs and the RFT, but really not much has tempted me enough to buy over the years at the costs involved...  Plus they went clone crazy for so long, I couldn't bite.  And they're all over the place on what they DO make...  Lots of missing characters, costumes, etc.  Not many Leia figures it seems, etc.

I still love looking at it, and as Hasbro prices rise, I wish they'd take a page from SS actually, and start branching out to make a truly "premium" line...  Premium paint apps, articulation, accessories, and the extra stuff like posed hands and specific heads.  I'd pay $20 for a figure that delivered it all in one box.  A 4" ANH Han like the current ANH 12" Han?  You get the headset head, you get extra hands, you get a removable belt with a thigh strap and stuff, removable vest...  I'd be into that for $20.

At the same time though, while I'd love the 12" figure, the price kills me.  I just can't justify things I'd absolutely need to do the payment plan on or do without for quite a while.  Nothing I can do with kids, cars, etc.

The Kylo Ren, like others, looks great. As for the 12" stuff in general, I was priced out too. When Sideshow first started their line up (at around $60 if I remember correctly), I was considering getting the whole OT lineup if the pace didn't get too crazy. Then I thought I'd limit it to just the main players from ANH, then dropped that plan too. I only ended up with ANH Leia (which I gave to my daughter),and the ANH and Bespin versions of Han Solo. I'd actually really like to get that Hoth Han that is out, but really can't afford it. Nice stuff though.
