I looked around and did not see if we covered these. I never saw these on HLJ, has anyone else seen or heard about these mini helmet's? I found them on eBay.

I knew about them and shop AFX has them. A couple of other retailers online as well. Like you Dale I checked HLJ but to no avail. Seems to be a retail price of $39 USD for the set of 6, about 3" in height each.
Looks like Tomy beat Gentle Giant to the punch. The question is what impact will there be on the GG line?

That was my exact same thought when I first saw these the other day. In fact, I'm wondering if Tomy's line here has anything to do with the massive delay (over a year now) on Gentle Giant's Armory Collection line... IIRC, the GG ones were gonna run about $15 each. Tomy's are about half that, and still look pretty nice. Hmm...
Not sure I want to delve into another line though, especially an overseas one, and one with more chase pieces at that. I doubt I'll bite on 'em, but they sure do look pretty cool.

I actually think they're kinda neat looking. But I think I'll be passing on these as well. They're not that necessary for me to have since I have the Riddell set, so these can't compare. I do wish Riddell would do some more helmets.

They look a lot like the Ridell helmets. Are they deformed? The Stormtrooper and TIE fighter Pilot look deformed to me. And C-3PO looks like a cartoon.

Gentle Giant has decided to import these for sale in the US. I guess Gentle Giant has decided to go this route instead of designing their own, as was in the works many moons ago (http://www.jedidefender.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=5029.0).

That's kinda lame for them to decide (2 years later, no less) to just import these instead of releasing them on their own... I wonder what happened to the 50 helmets they supposedly had in the works? And I wonder what happened to the 2-pack idea... :-\

I got 3, hoping for the trifecta of Vader, Stormie and Tie.
Got Vader, Xwing and Biggs. Bah! I really wanted a Stormie or two. Might
be trading time :)

My wife got me one of these (the Stormie--she knows me too well) for Father's Day. It's pretty cool. The plastic's heavier and thick, but the paint ap leaves a little to be desired. I like that the stand is just a pole with a knob so that the helmet sort of balances on it. The Stormie does suffer from being a little too narrow, which is typical of the Japanese Stormtrooper helmets. I'll try to get a pic up eventually to better detail the paint problems and the narrowness.

I picked up one of these this weekend at a shop. Ended up with the Vader. Not a bad piece for $5.99, was hoping for a Stormtrooper though. Oh well. Any word if they're producing more of these?

These are great little things for 6 bucks. I have all this series, well, all but 3PO (meh, does nothing for me).
You can push the bottom of the box in a bit and see what helmet is in there, if you happen to be looking for a particular one, heheh.

At the store I went to, there was one completely open (Vader) and the rest looked to be sealed. I grabbed a sealed one (or so I thought) and when I went to open it, it had been resealed with tape. It turned out to be the Rebel Trooper. I was quite displeased with the choice and ultimately the fact that they opened them before hand so I just closed it back up and grabbed the Vader...
