Watto's Junk Yard / Movie = Aliens 5!!
« on: May 21, 2003, 07:55 PM »
Well today I learned something interesting from Twentieth Century Fox Home Video. For the past few weeks I have been searching almost every store in my area for the DVD gift box set of the Aliens movies known as the Alien Legacy.  I also have been searching all over the internet also.

So after searching with no finds of this DVD gift pack I contacted Twentieth Century Fox. I was told that the DVD set of Aliens Legacy has been pulled off the shelves for the time being. When I asked why they said the reason is that Twentieth Century Fox is currently in the process of making a new Aliens movie and the the DVD's from the other Alien movies will be re-released with some new additions around the time the new movie comes out sometime next year.

Being a Alien fan this is great news that a new Aliens movie is in the works.
I guess I will have to wait for the DVDs and hang onto my VHS tapes of the movies.

Clone Wars '03-'05 / No Worries for the Red Battle Droid
« on: May 10, 2003, 10:30 AM »
It seems that lots of people are worried that the Red Battle Droid is going to be hard to acquire since he is only currently showing up X1 per Saga case. Yes, lots of people want to get lots of this droid for their Genosian Area Display and more. I am right there with these people. I want to get about a dozen or more of this Red Battle Droid. But I am not worried about trying to acquire many of him. Why, you ask?

Yes, The Red Battle Droid is making sightings in the Saga line, but the Clones War line is coming real soon. The Red colored Battle Droid is slated to be in the Clones War line. Therefore I do not think that this figure will be hard to acquire for your armies. It may be hard to get one on the Saga card for the carded collector out there.

So you do not have to worry about acquiring this figure for your army building. I believe that he will be plentiful when the Clone Wars line is released. Heck, the white colored Battle Droid is still plentiful at KB-Toys and other stores.

Toy Reviews / Hoth Han & Chewie
« on: April 29, 2003, 07:34 PM »
As many of you have probably seen on the front page I found the Hoth Han and Chewie figures today at Target.

Here is the picture

Hoth Han:
Sculpt- B - I like the sculpt for the most part. Once again Hasbro has given Hoth Han a very Wide Legged Stance.

Features- C - He has a button on his back to make him turn fron teh sid eot the front to recreate lightsaber action. For this figure I would not have given him any action feature.

Accessories- A - Lightsaber, Removable Face Mask, Blaster that Fits into holster, and the computer thingy.

Overall- I give this figure a B

Chewbacca:
Sculpt- A - Again Chewbacca is getting better than that Harry and the Henderson's Chewie that we got with POTF2 in 1995. Lots of detail, it seems that Chewie is always improving. This Chewbacca has lots of articulation and can be posed in many ways. But I think he looks best crouching holding his bowcaster.

Features- None

Accessories- A - Chewbacca comes with his signature Bowcaster which is larger than previous verions and had a red blaster-bolt that can be inserted and fired. He also comes with a rubbery translucent Mynock with a suction cup on the mouth.

Overall- I give this figure an A

Other Toy Lines / My LOTR toys - Twiloight Frodo
« on: April 17, 2003, 03:26 PM »
OK, I just have to showoff now.

For those of you who are into the Lord of the Ring toys you probably know that the Twilight Frodo is currently a chase figure and many people are scrambling to find him for their collection. Heck on E-Bay this figure is fetching something loike $100.00+

Well today on my lunch break I stopped in at Wal-Mart and saw four Series #4 LOTR cases that were unopened.
There was nobody around so I opened the cases up with my keys. As I went through each box I was not finding the Twilight Frodo. I started to think that my luck was not with me. The last box that I opened, case #4 had one of the Twilight Frodos in it. I snagged him up as fast as I could and I went to the Checkout. I found him, Twilight Frodo is mine!!! :)

Here it is in all of it's glory!!

I only paid $7.35 for a figure that the Collectors Market is going nuts over. I am sure when the next wave of figures comes out in the fall that this Frodo will be re-released in the Return of the King package.

LEGO / Lego Saber - Full Size Replica Pictures
« on: April 16, 2003, 02:42 PM »
I forget who asked me about posting some images of my Custom Lego Saber that I have in my Replica Saber Case.

I bought my Replicas Lego Saber off of someone a few years ago. I do not recall his name. He made a run of about a dozen in each color; Red, Bllue, and Green.

*Here is an interesting fact about the Lego saber. The hilt is very very similiar to a piece out of an Abhrams X1100 tank transmission. You would have to get the part out of the assembly unit, clean it up, cut it down to size, and drill out the emmiter part for the blade. It would be lots of work but an interesting fact. Makes me wonder if someone at Lego is an ex-engineer for the military or something. The hilt for my Lego saber is machined out of alluminium, it is not a piece out of a tank transmission.

Well anyways, here are some pictures for those who have asked.

Watto's Junk Yard / !! Man This Is A Sucky Thing!!
« on: April 4, 2003, 09:13 PM »
Today I got a call from my credit card company asking me why I have charged so much in the past two days. I was like what!?! I have not used my charge card except for a few things that I have on order from a few on-line stores. (New waves of figs, pre-sells, ect. Less than a $200.00 of stuff)

Apparently my card has been maxed out to the $10,000 limit. I asked how could this be when I have less than $100.00 charged up. They show in the past two days my card has been charged on many occasions. So now my card has been canceled and now I am going through th process of fighting the charges. That means the few things I have on order are now invalid.  >:(That just ticks me off to no end. I do not know how anyone could of got my credit number and use it in stores or on-line.)

So now there is going to be an investigation and I am going to press full charges on the person or persons who has done this to me if and when they are caught. It is not like I am going through a lot of stress as it is.
This is my one and only credit card also. So now I have no card to use to buy toys on-line and whatnot.

Oh man I am mad. I just need to vent.

Has anyone dealt with this kind of situation before?

Any advice would be greatly respected.

Collector's Tips / Action Figure Stands
« on: April 1, 2003, 11:35 AM »
Can anyone tell me where I can order those clear circle stands for the Star Wars figures? For the life of me I cannot remember where I bought the ones I have. It has been so long ago.
I ordered them from some website but can't seem to remember.  >:(

They are the same stands that the Fan Club gave away when you bought the Hoth Leia, Pote Snitkin, Death Star Droid, and now I can't remember the other figure.

It has been a long past 24 hours. I am now going to go to bed and get some rest. I am so glad that I have the rest of the day and tomorrow off.

If anyone can help out please post.
I need to order about 100 or so of these stands. I only have about 15 left in my stockpile.

Toy Reviews / 12" Han Solo, Lando (Guard), & AT-ST Driver
« on: April 1, 2003, 11:21 AM »
Well today at Meijers I picked up the new wave of 12" Dolls for $19.99 each.

12" Han Solo
Well, it is Han Solo. The head sculpt is Han-esq. Not really a good likeness. The head looks to fat for the body used. It is Han who ate too many donuts or something. A Major crash for this doll.

The hands are the standard kung-fu grip hands.

Standard Han Outfit from Episode 4 with the same belt that the first Han doll had.

The boots that come with this 12" doll is not like the other boots of past. The set of boots are a thin sticky type rubber. Which I find to be a major downfall of this doll.

There is a lever on his back. If you pull it down his right arm raises up.

So with the ugly fat head and the boots I give this doll a 2 out of 4.

12" Lando as Skiff Guard
Lando is Lando this time for the head sculpt, not the Hispanic Version of the Cloud City Lando so many years ago.

The Outfit looks nice except for the lower skirt part. It is made of very thin cheap vinayl.

The hands have the bendable hinged fingers like the 12" Dooku doll.

The Gun is a nice scuplt and painted with details. It fits into the holster that has a snap to keep it in there.

The Staff is short in my opinion. But non the less it looks ok. It only comes up to Lanso's shoulders.

The Helmet is nice and heavy. A nice scuplt and nicely painted details. Too bad there is no liner in it to keep it snug on his head.

Over all I give this Doll a 3.75 out of 4.

12" AT-ST Driver
Ok the AT-ST Driver to me looks like a younger General Rieken from Hoth with the standard GI-Joe scare on his cheek.

The outfit is a nice one piece jumpsuit.

The boots are like the Han Solo. The set of boots are that thin sticky type rubber. Which I find to be the only downfall of this doll.

The Helmet and Goggles are nice. The elastic on the goggles are a bit too long so I had to double it like a rubber band and palce it on the head. The Helmet itself is nice and heavy. The chin strap hold the helmet on very nicely.

THe Gun is that funny Imperial Blaster.

I like this doll alot. More with the helmet on. Without the helmet he just looks like a standard Imperial.

I give this doll a 3.25 out of 4.

Star Wars Action Figures / Should I put up my customs again?
« on: March 30, 2003, 12:26 PM »
Many of you know that I have customizing since POTF2 was released in 1995/1996. I had a website showcasing my work.
I took down that section of my website for I was finding many of my customs on other sites saying that they were their own creations.

Anyways, I have been getting some e-mails from people who ask where did my customs toys go? I told them I took them down. It seems that some people want me to put my customs back up on my site. So I have to ask. Should I or should I not I re-take pictures of my custom figures and put them back up on my site?
If there is a demand to do so I will in time.
If I do I will have to watermark them in some way so others do not steal my work and pass it off as their own.

An update on my customizing. I have not had the time to do any customizing since last May or so. So I do not really have anything new. But I have a list of customs that I want to do. I will be getting back into customizing again, when I do not know. It is a passion that I have and want to continue.

So what do you think you fellow customizers?

Yes or No!?!

Toy Reviews / Saga E2 Electronic Yoda Saber
« on: March 30, 2003, 11:57 AM »
Today at Target I picked up the latest Electronic Lightsaber. The saber is the master of all saber, thats right it is Yoda's.

The hilt of the saber is the same size as the sabers thus far. I guess to accomadate human size hands. :)

The Blade is just around 2-feet in length. It kind of looks funny with the big hilt and short blade. But Yoda is a small guy and so it should be short.

Also this is the first Electronic Saber that I know of that comes with the Cell Phone Belt Clip thingy to attach the saber to your Jedi Belt. ;)

I think it is a nice additoin to the Electronic Lightsaber line. Any fan of these will like it or so I believe.

Overall I give this saber a 3 out of four due to the weirdness of the scale and such.

I sent a bunch of pictures to Chris so that he may post them on the main page or whatnot.

Happy Hunting for the master of all sabers.

Collections / Custom Lightsaber Dispaly Case
« on: November 29, 2002, 05:22 PM »
As many of you know I have a Lightsaber Collection. As I have been acquiring more and more I have noticed that the Display Case is no longer packed in with the sabers. You have to buy them.
So after I got my Master Replica Obi-Wan and Yoda Sabers (Dooku on the way) (custom Mace Windu on the way) I realized that I want to be able to dispaly them without them getting all dusty and or damaged. So I looked into the plastic cases...I do not want to spend $50.00+/- each on them.
This led me into making my own display case where I could rearrange the sabers as needed.

Here is my finsihed result.

The Lightsabers are-

empty ----- Custom Jedi Luke Skywalker
Icons Obi-Wan Kenobi ----- Icons Darth Vader
Icons Skywalker ----- Master Replica Yoda
custom E2 Mace Windu coming soon ----- Master Replica Dooku coming soon
Qui-Gon Jinn need to acquire ----- Master Replica Obi-Wan Kenobi
Darth Maul need to acquire
Custom Lego Saber

What do you think?

I picked up the three new 12" at Meijers the other day. I am really happy with the Dengar and Zuckuss. The Imp. Officer is just a guy in a grey suit that looks like Chief Bast.

The quality and detail is getting better with each set of new 12" that come out. I have every single one that has been released so far.
To bad I can't really enjoy them all out on display due to the amont that have been made so far.

I can't wait for the next wave!

So what do you think of the latest wave of 12"?
