Great news on the main page that we will finally be getting it. I wonder how and with what figure. I think the fact that they are considering another extension for 2008 is pretty cool as well. I hope Hasbro coems through with both sets. ;D

Cool news, hopefully it'll attach to the K-Mart Cantina sets. What three figures would you most like to see included? My picks:

Bom Vimdin and the Tonnika Sisters are the best of what's left as far as I'm concerned...
But it will probably be a repainted Hammerhead.

I just hope the section doesn't come with one new figure and two old ones. Same with the distillery in '08.

I am with you on that one Darth Anton. I won't be surprised though. I assume it will come with the repack Kitik Keedkak. However, hopefully it comes with one of the rumored new cantina figures - Hellrot and whatever the other ones were called.

Well, since they are numbered, I would think they would come individually carded. But I did see this list on Galactic Hunter's Blogger section:
#70 Kitik Keed’kak (Wal*Mart Exclusive)
#71 Kabe & Nabrun Leids (Wal*Mart Exclusive)
#72 Labria (Wal*Mart Exclusive)
and based on the picture, I can't believe they would re-release figures that old on cards... I mean, look at Garindan that they just rescupted... they don't even compare! These would make a lot more sense coming with the U-shaped section.

Guess I forgot to say that. I am thrilled that we are getting the u shaped part. The only thing that would make me happier is if Habro made the entire bar piece as 1 piece (and a separate piece for the distellery in 2008).

This is great to hear. I'm going to have to see if I can pick up the rest of the "parts" of the bar by the time this is released. I didn't get all three of the Cantina sets from WM, and we don't have a K-mart in the area so I missed out on that set as well. I'll have some ebaying to do before the u-section comes out later on.

Those were shown at Comic-con and confimed to be carded individualy. :( I would have thought Hasbro would have stuck 'em with the U-Shape as well.

That's cool that they're finally making this piece, as to when it will actually show up.....I'm not holding my breath.
As for who'll be packed with it: I'm HOPING for Brainiac, Trinto Duaba (The Terminal Man guy), and Bom Vindim, but WE'LL PROBABLY GET Luke Tattooine, Hammerhead, and Wuher, again.

No better place to stick the Tonnika Sisters than the end of the bar, right? Perhaps that's why Hasbro's had this set on hold for nearly two years now... Still trying to hash out the pack-in character's figure's rights? Just a wild guess, I dunno. I'm sure that once they agreed to switch gears to the 30th Anniversary line next year, this set seemed like a better choice to release at that point, which may have caused some further delay with it.
I can only assume that when they put the Distillery portion out a year later (if plans don't change), that it'll come with a resculpted Wuher.
Of course, with the entire bar presumably completed at that point, why not fill in the surrounding area of the rest of the Cantina for the full effect? Sounds like it'll never happen, but I'll hold onto hope, so I won't have to unload a couple grand on the sure-to-be upcoming Attakus version...
