I agree here. The money I save on crappy repacks is money I use for army building. So I cannot really complain. Someone out there is buying the Vaders, Snowtroopers, Poggles, Jango, Yodas, Anis, Obis, and the rest of the repack junk. So product is moving, even if slow at times.
Are you saying that the Obi-Wan is repack junk?

Saga Collection '06 / Re: Battle of Endor Luke
« on: April 5, 2006, 06:35 PM »I'm not 100% sure, but sadly, I think that both Endor Luke and Endor Vader have been cancelled. Guessing from what I've seen in those collection room photos, he was going to be a repack of Jabba's Palace Luke; not owning one I would've bought him, too.
However, this move may precipate the release of another Luke- you never know. And I have the feeling Vader was maybe going to be 500th Vader again, as the Tatooine Vader already looks to be...
Personally, I hope they make a new one in the VTSC line, but there's nothing to indicate such a thing yet. I'm hoping though, and I think there's a fair amount of demand for a new Death Star/Final Duel Luke. No one likes old "Hulk Smash!" Saga Final Duel Luke.
I believe the one showed at the toy fair was from the Demise of Boba Fett battlepack.

THE GOOD
R5- Good, melikey a lot.
Hem Dazon- This is the first cantina alien I will ever get, and it looks awsome
Luke- It used to be excellent, now it is just at good, because of the lips. Good accessories, but Obi-Wan's saber is incorrect, probably due to Hasbro's laziness to recolor a little part of it.
Sandtrooper- Anything that uses the VOTC Stormtrooper sculpt just screams "BUY ME!" to me. So I will, but only one. Or two.
THE BAD:
Darth Vader- Bah. It is just the ROTS Vader sculpt. Really, the only vader I need is the Evolution's one. It is perfect.
Garindan- It is a good sculpt, but I really don't like snitches
Han- It looked like he lost his neck and it got crappily sewed back on. Horrible. Plus, the new VOTC Endor Han will double as the ANH one for me.
THE ONES CUT DUE TO BUDGET PROBLEMS:
Hammerhead- I really wanted him, but I am on a really limited budget this year, and, unfortuently I had to choose between him and Hem. I chose Hem, because he has a pistol, a holster, and a balljointed neck.
Garindan- I really did want to get him, but, once again, I had to cut him because of budget. And for being a snitch
THE UGLY:
Holograms- Red? Yuck! I used the blue ones for little mini-dioramas. But now that they are red, I can't. Damn!

Looks like we are going to get another round of people we see in the movie for 5 seconds again for this years fan choice.....
I don't know about you, but I voted for Luke Skywalker because he is a figure we actually need improvement and a new sculpt for. Not the fat 6-boob lady or that stupid ice cream guy.

I am sorry, but a person who was in the movie for 1 second, holding what looks like a mini airplane engine, made as a figure would just plain suck. The votes needs to go to someone useful, like a decent ROTJ Luke, or a Galactic Marine. I respect your opinion to vote for this, but not a lot of people would be dying to get him.
