Yes, Hasbro said during their panel that they're going to find a way to go back to articulated pack-in drivers for the vehicles.

I have the wave 2 Roadblock but I didn't look to see if his vest is removable.

I think I have just about everything posted from the GI Joe Con this past weekend.  You can get to it from the front page of my site or go to the all of the Con articles here:

http://imperialholocron.com/?cat=454

It was a fun time, there was a ton of stuff to buy.  I came home with a couple vintage vehicles, including an APC for a great price.  That's one I never had as a kid but always wanted and was able to find one in perfect shape.  Picked up a couple vintage figures, an AT 12" piece and the 12" Convention souvenir.  Also snagged the new Iceberg figure, the paradrop KRE-O Hit & Run figure and the accessory set for the membership figure that will be shipping in a month or so.

There was a decent crowd but it wasn't packed, you could get around and spend time sorting through booths to look for stuff without problems.  The dinner Sat night was excellent and I had fun at the casino night but came up short for buying anything at the auction.  I guess I didn't know what to expect on that end.

My main complaint was missing out on several of the souvenirs even though I wasn't that far back in line when the Club store opened on Friday.  I don't even think they need to adjust the limits, I just wish they'd make some souvenirs available Thursday night for early reg but keep some back for Friday.  If you buy a Con package and you're there at the store opening on Friday and have no shot at the souvenirs, I think there's a problem somewhere.

I'd love to go again next year but it'll definitely depend on where it is.  I don't think it's a big enough show to warrant flying to, but I'd go anytime I could drive to it.

I just wish they'd do a sequel to Incredibles.  That's the one I actually want!

You and me both!  That was a perfect movie to set up multiple sequels, or even a TV series.  It took several years to get a Nemo sequel, so maybe we just need to be patient for an Incredibles 2.

Count me in.  The Incredibles is by far my favorite Pixar movie with Toy Story a close second.

Two weeks away from the Convention!  Anyone else here going?

I plan on posting coverage of the Convention again this year.  We're getting in on Friday afternoon so with the movie that night I probably won't have anything up, other than Twitter posts, until later in the day.  I'll also be covering the Hasbro panel live on Saturday morning...possibly via CoveritLive but definitely by Twitter if not.  And photos of the booth and slides shortly after.

If anyone has questions for Hasbro, post them and I'll see if I can get them answered.

I'm not as hot on that one as some in the past.

I'm in for the Indian, Roman, Medusa and the warrior chick but I think that's about it.  Maybe the colonial soldier.

Medusa will go great with the Minotaur and Cyclops.  I'm a little disappointed there's no space themed guy in this wave though.

I think that may actually be the price, my store has new shelf tags showing $19.99 in place of the $31 it started at.  That's supposed to be the MSRP on them anyway so hopefully it'll stick at that price.  Nothing has moved in my store except the Ninja Cruiser I bought and a couple packs of the bagged Micro Force...which I also bought.

I'm not holding out much hope that this line is going to move, even when the film opens.  My store is basically stocked with last year's toys, the only single carded figures on the pegs are wave 1 Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow and Roadblock.  I found the Flint, Jaye, Colton wave at WM out of town and I'm hoping my WM at least skips wave 1...but once again, my recommendation is if you want anything beyond wave 2, order it online.

I'm definitely ordering a case of the wave with Kwinn in it...I'm NOT missing that figure and I'm not holding out any hope it'll ever see retail.

Found a bunch of stuff at KMart on sale today.  I picked up a 2-pack of Legolas and Tauriel.  Would have snagged a 4" Gandalf but they didn't have any.

There was a decent selection of singles and 2-packs and a few 6" figures, but I wasn't interested most of them.  Kind of glad I didn't spend more money on these, I'm kind of disappointed in them.  At least these two, the articulation in the legs is severly hindered and I don't think they work well with their accessories.  The paint jobs, at least, were pretty clean.  Maybe I'd have liked the 6" versions better, I'm just not into that scale.

Stopped in KMart this afternoon and found some Series 9 on an end cap display.  It had already been picked over a little bit by the looks of it but I spent a couple minutes going through them.  Pulled two Alien Avenger figures and a Battle Mech.  So, that was a good start.  Only need about 10 more of the alien and a couple more of the Mechs, plus the other figures that I want out of this series.

I probably would have gone through them a little more but it just feels wierd, as an adult, standing in the toy aisle of KMart feeling up bagged figures.

Took advantage of the decent weather and drove about 20 miles to the next town over and hit Walmart and KMart.

Walmart had the new Joes, including Joe Colton, Lady Jaye, Firefly, the ninjas and second versions of Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow and Roadblock.  They also had the wave 2 battle packs.

I would have bought more but after paying $31 for the Ninja cruiser last night I only picked up Jaye, Colton and Firefly and the Mouse 3-pack.  I'd like to have also snagged a couple of the Ninjas and maybe even Roadblock and Flint, but I passed for now. I think I'm going to hold out for the Ultimate Flint anyway...if he ever comes out that is.

I watched Zero Hour but it was pretty terrible.  I thought the acting was flat and the story didn't flow well during the middle.  I'll watch it again and hope that this was just a pilot/first episode thing and it'll pick up.  But if it's still off next week, I'll probably find something else to do with my time.

Found the first series of 6" Legends figs today at Walmart and thought they mostly looked pretty good.  I can't believe that they split Iron Monger into 6 pieces and 2 waves, one of which is listed for Fall on the packaging.  Great way to guarantee you'll be able to build your Monger figure you just invested $45 in...

Found Retalition figures stocked at Target tonight.  Unfortunately, it's mostly leftover stuff from last year.  Five each Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes and 2 Roadblock, all wave 1.  Three packs from last year, motorcycles role play.  They did have the new Micro Force and the second wave of Bravo vehicles which are now suddenly $31!

I have no thoughts that my store will ever stock anything post wave 1 but we'll see.  I'm not putting money on my Walmart store carrying the line at all...it's a small store and they've been known to skip entire lines.

I saw the Assemblers line at Walmart last night. Not impressed.  I can see what they're going for, but for the price I dont' think it's worth it.  I don't want to spend $10 on more than one figure so I can mix and match pieces...will parents want to splash out that much cash also?

I bought a couple IM2 figures but I don't see buying anything from this line.  I'm just waiting for my Hot Toys 1:6 Mark VII to come in...that may be the last IM figure I have to buy.

I'd definitely take a 4" scale Dalek, maybe a Cyberman figure also.
