Anyone have an extra 100% Be@rbrick Wicket

There was one on eBay for a while at $160... I was tempted to grab it, and now I'm kicking myself that I didn't.   :'(

And what's the 5-pc set gonna run.

5250 Yen = $42.50 USA, so I'd imagine that they will pop up on eBay starting around the $90-$100 mark.   :P

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: 2007 30AC UGH Promotion
« on: June 19, 2007, 11:33 PM »
So, based on the Yak Hasbro Q&A answer...

Case #87500000H:
- UGH #02 Galactic Marine
- UGH #04 R2-D2
- UGH #06 Mace Windu

Case #87500000J:
- UGH #09 McQuarrie Stormtrooper
- UGH #11 Han Solo
- UGH #12 Luke Skywalker (Yavin Ceremony)

Case #87500000K;
- UGH #14 Biggs (X-Wing)
- UGH #15 McQuarrie Boba Fett
- UGH #16 Darth Vader (Death Star Duel)

Case #87500000U:
- UGH #07 Airborne Trooper
- UGH #21 McQuarrie Chewbacca
- UGH #24 Boba Fett (animated Debut)

So that's at least 3 of the McQuarries coming back as UGHs.   ::)

Oh, and it's basically 1/2 of the first 24 figures.  Would have been nice if they would have spread them out a bit more to get more diversity in there, but whatever I guess.

I can't really match these up with any of the cases up for pre-order at EE, so I guess they aren't coming just yet...

I think I'm going to buy 4 Willrow Hood figures -

- one to open and display with the Bespin crew
- one to open and display with his Mentor, Jedi Master Plo Koon
- one to keep carded all nice and MOMC
- one to keep carded that will get autographed at the MN club's Salute to Scotty P / ICMG Release Party

Hey OT Purists!  Get ready for the prequel "vintage" figures:

"Vintage line... should be expanded to other movies at some point."  :-X

Looks like a slow week in RI as this week's answers have arrived 3 days early!

The latest Hasbro QnA has been posted...

- Got scratched coins?
- Zuckuss before Dengar ;)

The Bullpen / Marvel Legends
« on: June 19, 2007, 05:35 PM »
I'm confident the statistical analysis of the results said something like 72.4% of children preferred the smaller scale because of they fit in their pocket and they are more suited to smaller hands

Another consideration that Hasbro goes back to time and time again is saying that a smaller scale lends itself to more "interaction" - ie - it's easier to create a "SpiderCycle" that small hands can control or playset type thing for a 4-5" action figure than a 6-7" action figure.

I think they know full well how many dollars collectors add to the mix.  I think though they don't care.  They know that the "collectors" are made up of at least 50% who buy because it's SpiderMan and will buy ANYTHING they put out (we've seen countless examples).  :-X

I think this is the very first exclusive in over 7 years of collecting that I don't care for.

Me too.  I no longer have the heart/energy/desire to dig through Wal-Mart looking for yet another "great idea, poor execution" exclusive.   :-\

I think about it, how can you justify giving the figure even one point of articulation?

I assume that there is some EU story telling us how the dress she was buried in was her favorite party dress or something, so just pack her with two heads - an "eyes open" head and an "eyes closed" head.  Then, folks can decide for themselves if they want to use the figure as "Pretty Prom Dress Padme" or "Poor Dead Padme".   :D

Man, it's only mid-June and I'm already tired of the countless KG trade rumors the local sports talk guys throw at the wall...

KG to the Celtics, KG to Indy, KG for Kobe, KG for Amare...  ::)

The worst part is that I know it's going to drag on and on and on until the Vikings start training camp and distract the talking heads again...
