I take blame for dropping off the planet for a bit. The 9pm chats do me no good as I get home from work after 6pm and immediatly take our newborn from my wife so she can relax for a bit, then i do homework with my son till about 8pm, then i eat, by the time i settle down, its nearly 10. I remember every chat an hour plus after its over.
I am gradually getting ack to the swing. SO once major decissions are made, I should be able to help more. And our Grand Puba is going through the same as his wife is due in the next couple of months and he has little ones already.  Not making excuses just stating the facts.

I guess you hit the send button a few seconds before me Paul.  I got side tracked with work.

Star Wars Action Figures / Re: Glassman's Customs - Carded Figs pg.18
« on: October 23, 2006, 10:04 AM »
Hey guys sorry i havnet been around much, but i havnet forgotten the place.  When the baby is sleep and my wife is sleep and i'm not totally exausted, I have been sneaking in some custom work here and there.

Mostly on my Vintage re-card project...

Thanks to scoobacca, who was willing to make his Sprits available. I was able to make these.

And for you folks that arent too mad at GL for changing the movie...Here is the Hayden version.

My re-card project is comming along faster than i thoght but the card making is the easy part, restoring my figures is the hard part.
That part is taking longer than i thought.

I did get alot of the figures cleaned up and paint touch ups. I just have to sort out a few weapons.

Here they are, all spread out ready for blisters.

Here is a larger pic to get a better look.

I've been woking on making a carded verion of Blue Snaggletooth, but i didnt want to use the same image that eveyone else does, so i tried creating my own.

Here they are, the doublemint twins.

I made a batch of coins for upcoming cards also...

As always comments and suggestions on the custom card are welcome.

WHat if we put up parts of the Project?

All of the pieces that arent gonna be returned. ( So you would need to decide when you are done weither you want it back or not.)
We can photograph them as they get done, and aution them off, with the understanding
that shipment will be made after C4?

Ok guys.. had a topsy turvy past few weeks, but i'm getting back on track.
I'm liking all your concets D-B. I think the dome could be done with simple framing.
Cut stips of carboard, and arch them over each other. Making an arching cross, then do another
rotated 45 degrees.

Then just cover it with thin paper. or card stock.  Cut triangles and add them to the framing. The longest Point meeting at the top. Then when you paint it, it should hide the seems.
